- i rated my purchase as 5 stars as a few days after I recieved my Movado watch i went to a jewelery store to have it sized and there in the case was my exact watch for full price. I paid one-third of the retail price. A wonderful buy.

- The band was too large to adjust to my wrist; a jeweler took out 2 links and now it fits perfectly. I am very happy with this watch.

Hublot 542.PX.1180.RX wrist watches news:
Hello, was hoping that someone could help me identify an approximate year of this vintage Hamilton watch I have had for nearly 20 years. It is 14k gold, 17 jewel and there is a number on the inside of the case. I tried looking for a serial number on the movement side, but only saw a number that I believe shows "Y4522". Any help would be appreciated. I believe I paid a few hundred dollars for it back then. The watch is missing the second hand, but still works and winds. Could use a little polishing also.thank you,
I typically wear my 190 with a well-worn ammo strap and LOVE it. Recently however I have been contemplating selling my 190 to raise some funds and the decision has been killing me. Tonight I decided to take off the ammo strap and put on the OEM calf. Nearly instantly the 190 became boring and uninspiring - amazing. I guess the moral of the story is that the strap can indeed make the watch. Sure the 190 is still brilliant with its JLC movement, gold hands etc, but it is not the complete package without the right strap. Looking at the watch in this light makes a sale more palatable.Any similar experiences?

I have an Omega 2512.30 that needed a new crown and stem. I ordered from Otto Frei and the stem is not cut to the correct length. Any one know what the length of the stem should be, the old stem no longer exists. Other times I have gotten replacement stems they were the correct length. Anyone ever cut down a stem to fit and can tell me how to measure for the correct length. Thanks in advance for any help.ThanksJohn
I have noticed a difference in Bezel Inserts for the 16710 particularly where the 2s and 4s have a slight flare out of the white text. Not really sure if this has an official name or not. Does anybody know if there was a time period for when one bezel insert ended and when one started? I looked in the bezel insert thread in the Reference Library and didn't see it mentioned. Pics for clarity:
