Khyber dials
I believe the Khyber is fairly scarce, but saw that Rene has one for sale. Coincidentally, there was a listing on ebay which ended today for a Khyber. However, the dial on that one was very different than the one that Rene has (which is the same as the one in the Shugart guide).Here is the ebay listing: HAMILTON WRISTWATCH 17J ADJ 730 MOVEMENT GF KHYBER - eBay (item 270531602748 end time Feb-19-10 12:12:51 PST)Here is Rene's: Hamilton Mechanical Watches for Sale by Ren RondeauI am wondering whether there was more than one dial pattern for the Khyber, or whether this was a refinished dial (or just something cut and sized to fit).Thoughts?Dan

Diet Coke, Mentos, a Fake
i posted in the "watch runs backwards" about the lack of youtube videos involving destruction of fake watches. i recall a while back a few youtube videos where folks took a bullet to a fake but a search this morning showed nothing on the first two pages. with spring here and summer around the corner now might be the time to strap a fake to a bottle of diet coke and drop in a few mentos and video tape the event. if you know of any good "kill the fake" videos post them so we have some chuckles.by the way, my watch that ran backwards was a hoax as that post was number 666.

AP ROO Diver vs AP ROO Volcano?
