Hublot 542.px.1180.rx wrist watches news:
I was at an large local antiques/collectibles swap meet on Sunday hunting for old watchesand other goodies. After about 3 hours of hunting I hadn't found any watch deals to myliking and I was on my way out when I passed a fellow's table who was obviously a used watch dealer. He had lots of pocket and wrist watches in glass cases but what interested me was an area of his table with a loose pile of watches, each in a plastic bag with prices like $5, $10, etc. They all seemed to need work and this little Gotham caught my eye as I like watches of this style and era. It was much dirtier than it appears in the picture above and he wanted $20 for it which I thought was bit much for a broken Gotham but I wanted to bring home at least one watch to play with so I offered him $15 and he agreed and I bought it and went on my way.Today I took out the watch to clean off the exterior grime and that's when I noticed thismark on the side of the bezel:No "GF" or "RGP" just 10k. Well, after an externa
Hey there friends, since i started collecting watches Ive been in love with AP watches, considering them the best of the best, and right now im able to get my first one, the question is, what should I get for my first AP? the two options I have in mind is the AP Royal Oak 15400 black dial or the AP Diver. Thanks a lot for your opinion!
I am in USA and looking forward to the 20% plus discounts that everyone seems to be getting from their AD's. Whilst not looking for anything specific two nice to have opportunities cropped up with an AD offering the above at $45000 and $60000. Both discontinued and I reckon preowned in the $35000 and $45 000 range. Does any body know of better prices as I am not that familiar with US pricing. The AD is not moving on this but I am a terrible negotiator. It would be helpful if the replies could be fact based on experience rather than the plethora of anecdotal suggestions that will undoubtedly follow. Cheers
Hello Patek aficionados,I have gradually migrated from Rolex discussion to this one after seeing great pictures of 5711 and 5167 by Puffy, dddreess, kilyung, brady, TimeOnHand and many others on this forum. I'm thinking it is time for me to acquire my first Patek . I have small collection of Rolexes - DeepSea and GMT IIc. I'm considering trading in the DS for something smaller and more understated. The three pieces that made the short list - PP 5711/1A, PP 5167A and AP 15400. As a lot of people here I have job where the watch can be scratched by the desk or my computer - nothing extreme. On the weekend we do a lot of family activities like skiing, ice skating, bike riding, swimming and such. I'm looking for watch that could do it all with me without needing to baby it.I have asked my wife for her opinion on the styles and she likes the 5167 best with 15400 closely second. I'm leaning towards 5711 for its timeless design. It is going to be my watch so the ultimate decision is with me. T
The more and more highfalutin watches I have, the more I like, appreciate and prefer my trusty and classy Datejust.
