Hublot 511.NX.9010.LR.1704 wrist watches news:
The name Greubel Forsey conjures up many images among horological connoisseurs but classically simple dials and elegantly thin cases are probably not among them ¡ª at least until now. With the release of the Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision, the 11-year-old brand founded by Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey proves that it can do “quiet” just as well as it does “loud.”Introduced at SIHH 2015, alongside such super-complex timepieces as the new GMT Black and QP ¨¤ Equation, the Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision drew immediate attention for its comparative simplicity. However, it would be a mistake to characterize it as the most “ordinary” piece in the brand’s lineup (who knew we’d ever get to a point in the watch world when any watch with a tourbillon could be considered ordinary) ¡ª the renowned Greubel Forsey inventiveness is indeed on display here, only in much subtler ways, for the most part.Of course, there is the de
This week's Bring A Loupe will bring you a very early diver from Panerai – the type that many would in fact call a "Rolex" – and two dreamy watches from Patek: a GMT complication from the 1950's (yes, that was a thing) and a steel Calatrava. Those won't come alone; we also found a very early Heuer Autavia, a vintage Gallet chronograph and an amazing modern Lange. This is your Bring A Loupe for September 11, 2015, and you're gonna like it a lot. A 1940s Panerai (Or Is It A Rolex?) Reference 3646 Type C For The German Frogmen 1 OF 9 This piece offers a travel through time when Panerai was making only a handful of diver watches for the Italian and German armies – of course with the contribution from Rolex for the case and movement. In the 1940's the German had given instructions to produce an anonymous dial for its combat divers and to me, this is military watches at their best! Yet, more than 70 years later the design s
Hello All,I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight regarding my most recent purchase. I was specifically looking for an 80s watch and it doesnt get more 80s than this (square/angular style, two tone, and quartz). Although I was looking for a vintage thunderbird/turnograph or datejust from this time period, when i saw this, i let my impulse get the best of me.From my research, all I could gather is that this seems like a newer square royal oak because it has a date feature (might actually be from the 90s maybe?). But I dont know the model number or anything else. If someone can chime in with more information, that would be great. The only thing written on the watch is the serial number on the back. Also, feel free to let me know what you guys think about this watch. It is kinda dated, but I find it very unique and intriguing.Collectors say to avoid vintage quartz watches. But avoiding quartz watches is basically ignoring the 70s and 80s i'd say.
As usual, my most beautiful timepiece gets the royal DSLR shot treatment. What it means? Well, vast majority of my watch pics are taken using my trusty Samsung Galaxy Smartphone. Just point and shoot and the pics most of the time they turn out very nice. So there is really no need to dust off my big and clumsy Nikon. Right? Just see the Jumbo Appreciation thread! Actually, it's because I am lazy and I can't be bothered to whip out my Nikon D5100 DSLR, setup my tripod and adjust all the settings etc to get the perfect shot. However, one thing a camera phone can't do is to duplicate a DSLR camera in capturing all the tiny details that make our watches special. Especially under a macro lens like my Nikkor 105mm. So a serious photo shoot still calls for me to bring out my best camera. I finally found the energy and time today to do that again in a rainy Saturday afternoon here. So it here goes, the Jumbo 15202 40th anniversary edition. Background. The original Royal Oak 5402 Jumbo was fir
