Some believe that the cornerstone of one¡¯s timepiece collection is a fine dress watch. Others, however, may prefer spending their hard-earned cash on rugged sport and tool watches that don¡¯t really work under a shirt cuff. Enter the Orient Watch Company. If you¡¯re a guy who doesn¡¯t wear dress watches all the time, but you¡¯re in a pinch and need a classier option, there aren¡¯t many better options for a dress watch with these requirements, at such an attainable price. So even if you are a tool watch guy, you will nevertheless inevitably find yourself needing to wear a dress watch once in a while: for a sister¡¯s wedding, a job interview, or accepting an Oscar at the Academy Awards ¨C okay, George Clooney gets his comped by Omega, so never mind. That G-Shock or 18mm thick dive watch isn¡¯t going to cut it with a tux. Hello everyone, Attached picture is from Breitling for reference. Was wondering if somebody bought this already. How does it look in person? For those who've bought them care to share why you chose this dial over the black one, thanks!
I read somewhere that Paul Newman wore a bund with his Daytona. These watchstraps were originally designed for German fighter pilots during WW2. I've seen Alton Brown on 'Good Eats' wearing one but in general, they aren't all that common. The design is wide around the watch and narrows down to ordinary watch strap width towards the buckle. Like NATOs, the bund seems to look better with sport watches rather than the more dressier models.Curious if anyone has here wears these as an alternative strap/fashion statement.
