- I love this watch. I have it in Black and will get it in Raw Steel one of these days. Really unique clasp system. I get tons of compliments on it. I like to layer it with another watch some days, like the Player. Hot.

Antiquorum has announced that Michael Friedman has been appointed Horological Director of Antiquorum USA. Mr. Friedman will oversee all U.S. auctions and private sales from Antiquorum’s U.S. headquarters on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. Michael takes over the position from Charles Tearle who was named Head of Antiquorum’s Asian division in August of last year. Friedman’s career in watches and clocks began in 1996 at the Willard House & Clock Museum where he held the position of Assistant Curator and also apprenticed to conservator David Gow. In 1997, he joined The National Watch & Clock Museum as Curator where he co-developed 15,000 square feet of new exhibition space devoted to the history of time measurement. After receiving my first big promotion at work I have decided (actually got permission from the wife) to treat myself to my first high-end watch. This will be a daily wear watch, and will not be the last high-end watch that I purchase.I am currently looking at the Omega Seamaster, but I have a few questions. My first question is Quartz or Mechanical? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each. From the research that I have done, I know that cost is a factor, but is the mechanical version worth the premium? I do understand the basic differences (battery vs. winding, etc.), I am really wondering will I be disapointed with the quartz model? The second question, is used or new? I have sourced a few local jewlers, but from the prices I have seen online is that these watches, especially the quartz version tend to be significantly cheaper in the used market. Thanks for any help you can all provide.
I dont see this watch too often. If anyone has any pictures, please share
Guys, looking to pick up a sports watch for wife for our 10th. Looking at the 7118A 011I find very little discussion on 7118, thoughts?Alternatively, she doesn't have a rolex yet, the 28mm datejust steel/white gold with diamond looks quite nice for almost 30% cheaper. m279384rbr-0011Happy to hear your thoughts.I showed her the lady world time which I thought was awesome. Her only comment was she can't read the time lol....
