IWC IW546101 wrist watches news:
A couple of years ago, when Hamilton announced the Pilot Pioneer Automatic Chronograph, it got a lot of people, us included, really excited. It was the exact kind of watch from their archives we want to see them bring back. A cool watch with historical significance and a cult status among collectors. To follow up the success of that watch, Hamilton has riffed on the concept to create a series of 3-handers that still speak to the ¡®70s RAF pilot watches those chronographs were based, while becoming something new for their line-up as well as an having unexpected twist. The so called Pilot Pioneer Automatics are dual crown versions of the RAF asymmetrical pilots watches. By adding the dual crown/internal bezel functionality, they did a good job of creating something new that doesn't just feel like a the chronograph, sans-chrono. But to make things more interesting, they decided to do two versions, one in steel, and then one in aluminum. A material we're all familiar with yet rarely see in w
This is shaping up to be an absolutely astonishing year for Vacheron Constantin. Even without the Reference 57260 (which we covered for you here, and here, and here) it would have been an impressive year for VC just on the basis of its new Harmony Collection (which, you might remember, we looked at here and here, and which we also covered in the latest installment of Three on Three). But then, they dropped the Reference 57260 on us – and now, at Watches & Wonders in Hong Kong, they’ve give us even more. Let’s start with a watch we fell in love with the minute we saw the pictures: the Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955. The name is just one of the many things that sound better in French; it means “cow’s horns” – and the watch is pretty much a solid, unadulterated dose of horological pleasure. This isn’t the first time you’ve seen it, if you follow HODINKEE, but having seen it in the metal, we can assure you, it’s every
There's a ton of them out there. And frankly via a web photo, they all look awfully similar. Anybody have a recommendation for a nice watch box? 6 would be a good number for me. A little more would be fine too. Even a little less. I want a nice quality box that will accommodate decent size watches (Rolex Sub, maybe some day a Panerai). Thanks for any pointers!
Good Afternoon All! Got my Sea Gull M187s on the way and I wanted to get some ideas on a replacement band. I think another band will match better than the original. I'm looking in the price range of between $10-$20. All suggestions welcome and attached are stock pictures of the watch for reference. Also please attach pictures of your suggestions if possible!
Here is the Christmas present, Aqua Terra 150m:but browsing the net, I saw what appears to be the same watch on a different strap:on this website which is in German. Google doesn't translate very well. Any ideas where this strap might be available? I'm loving the brown leather strap now, but you never know when you might want to switch things up.L
