IWC 3227 wrist watches news:
I just picked up this 1922 Sterling Silver cushion - with the 986A movement. Had my watch guy give it the once over. Actually, he told me about it and I purchased it through a friend of his. Here are a couple of pictures:I also picked up this Greenwich a while back. Here is a seller picture:And a couple of "after" shots:I don't know why, but the Greenwich really appeals to me - other than the Hastings, not many other Hamilton's look anything like it from that era. I just think that stepped bezel and the "rounded square" shape are classic. Thanks for looking!Edit: I don't know why I didn't see this before (especially as I was taking the picture and imposed in the background is a very similar if not identical watch!), but obviously the hands are not original. The good news is that I have a very nice coral filled Wilshire with gold tone hands in this shape (which I know were not original and have been looking for blue steel replacements). It appears that I can (well, not me actually) j
I must admit, this watch is still growing on me.I am sure some day a nice 2nd generation X-33 will join my modest ''bunch''... ;)
Say I have the following in my collection:5990, 5205g, ROO Navy, ROO Elephant, 1680 red mkIV, 16610LN, PAM 320.I want to cut two. Which ones?(probably to make room for either 5712 or RM055, but not within 5 years)
Friends, what is your opinion on trading my Rolex Daytona SS white dial for AP15400 (new ). I like both but want to know some your expert opinions. Thanks,RM
Can someone let me know the difference between the previous Rolex Superluminova (green) and the current Chromalight (blue) lume? Which one lasts longer? When did most of the Rolex range switch over?Trying to determine if a newer model GMT Master 116713 is worth the cost for a potentially longer lasting lume.
