Jaeger LeCoultre 250.81.10 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone I was wondering if someone can help me decide wether I should get a Nanofiber cloth or a Microfiber one. I currently have a microfiber one and it works great but since I am planning on purchasing a couple as gifts ( from Boston Watch Exchange of course) , I'm curious if the nanofiber being 100x finer, does actually work better and/or easier to use maybe? any help would be greatly appreciated
I haven't purchased a watch for a while. Why? Because I have too many as it is. But I can no longer resist a small purchase. The new and improved monster really got my attention. With manual winding and hacking, it is now the perfect watch - at least it is the perfect value. So here is my question: If I am dying to spend between $300 and $500 for a new Christmas watch, is there ANY WATCH out there that can touch the Monster for value, coolness and good looks?
Hey guys, Since joining this forum, I've decided to rewind a cheap mechanical clock that I bought once when I went off on a holiday. In the past, this clock kept pretty decent time. But in recent months, the clock has been losing time every single day - even on a full spring. Short of taking it to a clock/watchmaker, what can I do to get the clock to keep time? I thought a few generous squirts of lubrication-oil would be sufficient to do the job. Is this enough? Or must I do more? Also, what kind of oil should I use? I think dad has a can of metal lubricant-oil SOMEWHERE around the house, but short of that, could I just use (shock-and-horror) olive-oil? Yours, Shangas.-EDIT: I'm well aware that this is a WATCH forum, but I saw it as being a waste of time to join a clock forum just to ask one tiny little question since I could probably ask it here.
Hi guys! This is my first post on the Rolex forums, and specifically on the Patek Philippe discussion forum.I was told about this watch today by a relative of mine, who was given this Patek years ago from a friend as a gift. Today I was asked to investigate which model and year this watch came from.Any help would be highly appreciated.
In 1971 the entire NASA team wore Pepsi GMT's on their mission to the moon. This seems to be an important moment in Rolex history, doesn't seem to get mentioned much..rolexmagazine/2008/06...story.html?m=1
