I'm a firm believer in the idea that you can't effectively judge anything on numbers alone. Looking only at the statistics of a watch completely ignores the finish, the quality, the experience of a great timepiece that forms the base of this hobby. The Omega symbol in a car
The first time I noticed a named watch or jewelery company putting its' name onto a clock in a car was I think back in the 70s when if I recall correctly, Cartier was on the clocks of the Lincoln Continental. I know currently the BBB is on the dashboard of a Bentley. What car do you think the symbol of Omega should be carried in pals?Given Omega's more subtle quality approach, you'd need a car of true quality and presence that wasn't loud and flashy. It need not be in the entire range of the cars by a given manufacturer of course. This should be fun.So whatcha think pals?Y'all have a nice day now ZIN

Hey guys!Just found the WTF and joined up so I thought I'd say hi! I've been into watches for a couple of years now and have just a small collection but I love talking about watches (ask my wife!) I'm a bit of a lume nut and starting to move towards divers, but right now I'm kinda still feeling my way around. I'm also messing with learning some watchmaking skills, but bad eyes and tiny parts are a little scary)So here is my current collection.. my first "real" watch....my monsters (lume shot of course) Love these guys....my Parnis Portuguese...not sure about this one...I'm struggling with the homage thing since the IWC is so unique in my mind, but this is definitely a great value (loud rotor and all)my Luminoxlong time daily wearer and nicest watch I owed for a long time. This guy still gets all my really tough outdoor work.I've also got a couple of project watches (actually like 5 or 6 now) but this one is claimed by my 9 year old daughter who declared that it is too small for m

Incoming !......another 1965 watch landed.
This nice 14K Hamilton Thin-O-Matic was just dropped off at my office only a few minutes ago. Sorry for the off white balance pictures. I was using my friend's camera and could not hit the WB settings to save my life ;)The watch is actually in a better shape than these pictures show. I am very happy to add this piece into my 'birth year 1965 collection' that now includes Omega Speedie, Breitling Navitimer & Bulova.I think that after good service and new alligator this one will be in a tip-top shape !The first Hamilton I found has an engraving of an exact birthday of my father !! What a luck !

Who wears their Omega everyday ??
Hi all, I've been thinking, I've been wearing my Black Monster practically everyday since I got it (about 4-5 months ago now) and my Omeags have been hardly getting any wrist time at all. I probably wear my PO once every other month, and my SMP even less than that. Now, I feel like just wearing one of my Omegas for my everyday' watch for like one month, then rotate on a per-month basis. I guess what I'm saying is my intent to buy a beater/everyday watch is causing me to miss my other watches. After all, what did we spend thousands of hard earned $$$ for ? Them to sit in the safe/box/etc. ?? What are your thoughts on the matter, and how many of you actually USE your Omega as your everyday wearer ?? Interesting to hear some comments !Thanks! Mike
