New Oris TT1 Chronograph (offical release)
Here's a new member of the F1 team from Oris - the TT1 Chronograph. I'm a sucker for a red and black combination, but I think this one may struggle to compete with so many similar styles out there. Vintage watches and the times
This thread may be more for those of us who actually remember when the "normal size" for a wristwatch was 38mm and under but some of the younger guys may appreciate it also.(BTW the average size was 38mm less than 10 years ago!)I own many loved watches that are well over 38mm and one in particular is one of my grails.(Omega PO at 45.5mm)I actually have nothing at all against watches of the XL variety and in many cases they would look funny if they were smaller because ,these days,they are designed to be BIG.One thing that bothers me is when the manufacturer puts a "normal" movement in a BIG case,esp a chrono movement.I recently saw a new Luminox model like this and it looked great,yet upon closer inspection,the subdials are "lost" in the dial due to the fact that although the case is 46mm the movement-and thus the placement of the subdials-are not asthetically compatible. The subdials are way too close to the center of the dial and there is no symmetry.Same with some automatic movement

Incoming!!! First Omega and slightly excited.
So I have pulled the trigger on my first Omega. Always liked the look of their offerings but never took the time to really learn the line. My collection as it sits now is a 36mm DJ on an oyster, a DSSD classic black, a Nomos Orion, a Archimede bronze pilot and bronze diver, many Shinola offerings and a lot of G Shocks. My AD was having a tent sale and seeing as he is several hours away and I was busy today I had him send me some pics of what he thought I would like to add. He sent pics of this and a Tudor Advisor on leather. As I was able to get such a good price and the Crown and Buckle NATO thrown in for no charge I pulled the trigger. The original contrast stitch brown leather on a tang is also included. I know it is a Speedmaster and I know that I like it. Beyond that I would love to hear folks opinions and thoughts.
