Okay time for me to get serious. Specific to the watch shown here, I'd appreciate any comments on things you see in terms of Franken substitutes, if there's anything here that would lead you to think it a fake, and overall observation.Photo credit: eBay user "sanderson_and_son"Second, and possibly even more important, I'm looking for some help in terms of understanding the "Precision" line. I'm looking for a thinner-cased watch from the late 1950s, so probably not an automatic. What was the time period for the Precision? What demographic did it target? What do you all think of this model of watch in general?Thanks!

GMT-C Ceramic Ring Fell Out...
g340 on shared on a few other forums his experience of removing his GMT-C watch at an airport security screening, only to find the ceramic bezel fell out. Fortunately, he found the insert, but could not press it back into the bezel ring (like one can with the older aluminum 16710 inserts).g340 indicated that he is going to take his watch to the RSC in New York and will post a follow up. The more I look at this watch, the more I like it. The 80,000 rating for a/m, the tegimented case, it really is quite a beauty. The yeloow UTC hand is a nice splash of color, and a nice distressed aviator strap would look killer.I am still waiting for Basel, but I really dig this Sinn:pic from watcbuys:

I got this from my Dad at Xmas 2006. He bought it in New Orleans in 1973. I remember as a kid, him wearing it. My Dad wore this for about 4 years, then fell victim to the cheap quartz revolution and never went back. Anyhow, I was home for Xmas and was digging (looting) through his desk when I found it. I instantly remembered it but had no idea of the brand. Upon closer look wait it can't be. A freakin vintage Heuer. And a big gnarly one at that. I showed it to my Dad as if to say, "why aren't you wearing this?" He just looks at it and said casually, "You like that big ugly thing?" "You can have it." No way He shoots, he scores!!!! Anyhow, I fired it up and it ran fine. Several months later I sent it off for a major overhaul, new crystal and pushers, and I've been wearing it regularly since. Crazy afternoon, accidental purchase!
I was having lunch near my trusted AD. I shouldn't walk in.. With nothing intended in mind, I ended up walking out with a AP.. I just could not resist the lure of it, the 15305ST.OO.1220ST.01All my APs were ROOs, at the 1st look, the watch looks small to my liking, I didn't really think I was hooked on it.. But, as I study the watch more thoroughly, I was getting poisoned.. The outcome is predictable.. I ended up with my 1st RO jumbo.. An expensive lunch.. I hope it is not a wrong choice..
