IWC 390202 wrist watches news:
Precious little is known (to me) about then new Frederic Jouvenot watches. I would know a bit more if I was able to properly read French, and because all the press information is in a PDFgood luck trying to get me to put all that into the Google Translate tool. Good thing that a picture is worth a thousand words, because these images say a lot. The new watches will be released soon - in Basel if all goes according to plan. You can see that they are all based around the same theme and movement, but in these images there are at least two cosmetically different models. There is a distinct retro feeling from the watches. Watch maker Frederic Jouvenot is young at about 31 years old and wanted to create something new (as all young watch makers who branch-off from larger brand often do). His new movement inverts the rotor of an automatic movement and places it on the front of the watch. From a mechanical level, the watch is nothing totally unique. My first watch with band made of rubber! Never would have purchased a few years ago. Must be acquired taste lol..
I purchased this watch recently and have now restored it and am now thinking about selling it, could anyone tell me more about this type of watch and it's approx value ?. There is no brand name on this watch, just the case makers mark JF "Jean Finger", case number and 925 silver marks. The case number is on all case parts and also on the movement under the dial, which is an ebauche FHF 55, would this indicate that maybe "Jean Finger" was selling watches completely built up, and not just cases, making this watch a "Jean Finger" trench watch ? . Hey guys! I haven't been wearing my "old" JL much (pics can be seen in THIS topic) since it was too big for my small wrist (44mm w/o the crown), so I decided to trade it for Tissot Le Locle (39mm). I added about 75 USD since the Tissot retail price was a bit more expensive than JL's. Was a bit weary since I know there are a lot of Tissot replicas out there, but this one looks genuine to me. I've been browsing the net for things to look for which distinguish fakes from real ones and I'm 99% sure this one is real. Here are the pics of it: 2388034_DSC02450.jpg2388034_DSC02451.jpg
How does it fit on wrist?Does it feel heavy? Please advise.Thanks.Rolex Explorer 2Rolex Daytona whitePAM 315
