I happened across this brand this afternoon. I've never heard of them.The watch I looked at was a Tavannes Ocean Edge; a limited edition model. It was just about the heaviest watch I've ever worn. I would rate it a 12 on the Stitch Scale.Can anyone tell me anything about the brand? The watch was less expensive that I would've thought. Is it a worthy consideration?Muchos grassyass!

Just got back from Cuba, spent a beautiful week there with my girlfriend Corine and some buddies (Scott and Kurt), soaking up the sun, smoking lots of cigars, and drinking lots of rum. It's a very interesting country, the literacy rate there is apparently over 95% which is on par with or better than many Western countries, and they have a health care program where every citizen is able to see a doctor. Whether or not treatment is readily available is another story however, as there is a shortage of even the most basic things, like cold medicine and even toilet paper. There is 0 homelessness which I found interesting, since the government assigns every person a home of some sort.One rather strange sight was a fair bit of hate propaganda in the form of billboards etc. aimed at America. Question about switching from deployant / deployment clasp to tang buckle
I have persevered with the deployant / deployment clasp on my 5140G for a month or so, have had an extra hole put in the strap by PP and have even had PP reverse the strap for me, which has been touted on here as a solution to uncomfortable depolyants. But I have now decided that I and the deployant are never going to be friends, and that the time has come for a change. Someone has generously gifted me a genuine PP WG tang buckle, so I now need to sort out a strap. I think that at the PP Salon they told me, but only in passing, that one can't simply put a tang buckle on a deployant strap. But maybe that is just something they do not do as a matter of principle, or maybe it requires some work done on the strap which they do not undertake. Hence my main question: has anyone managed to recycle a PP deployant strap for use with a tang buckle ?As a further question, how much should I expect to pay at the PP Salon for a real Alligator with large rectangular scales in glossy black strap
