IWC iw500112 wrist watches news:
This "One Hertz Dune" is an 18k red gold version of Gronefeld's One Hertz 1912 Dead-Beat Seconds watch. "Dune" is added to the name and I think the new color tones on the watch really give it a new personality. This isn't just a gold version of the One Hertz, but a different piece with a more sultry personality. Interestingly enough, this red gold version will be limited to 20 pieces, while the steel version was limited to just 12 pieces - usually the more precious the metal, the less pieces in the limited edition.Read more about the watch and movement here when I first discussed the Gronefeld One Hertz 1912 timepiece.
Guys, I have recently ordered an Ebel watch that has the EBEL Caliber 304 movement...I have googled that, and have not been able to come up with any specifics about it...since EBEL does in fact manufacture some of their own movements, I was wondering if it was a totally inhouse job or a more common ETA modified movement.Does anyone have any knowledge of what the EBEL 304 movement really is???Thanx!!!
Stumbled across this article while searching for something else. Hats off to the border agents for not allowing this fake crap to get on the market. U.S. Customs and Border Protection Import Specialists and Officers Seize Counterfeit Watches Valued at $28.7 Million(Monday, July 09, 2012)Laredo, Texas ¨C The Import Specialist Enforcement Team (ISET) at U.S. Customs and Border Protection¡¯s (CBP) Laredo Port of Entry recently seized a commercial shipment of counterfeit watches and other watches used to facilitate the importation carrying a combined retail value of $28.7 million. In the enforcement action, a CBP import specialist at World Trade Bridge selected a shipment of watches for an enforcement examination. In the course of their examination, CBP officers and import specialists discovered possible infringement of the Louis Arden and Audemars Piguet design trademarks, which are trademark recorded with CBP. CBP subsequently on June 29 seized 10 boxes containing 1,120 watches found to
So I'm interested in the 5167 as a possible option as the next watch and have a few questions about it... 1) It's 40mm- anybody with 6 wrists care to chime in on if it looks too big or not? I've heard this wears bigger than 40mm2) Tropical strap- how durable is it? Does it last as long as a leather strap? Does it get sticky where lint collects on it? Does it crack after awhile? Any problems or complaints with it?3) I've read around that the rotor is loud. How loud? I don't want my wrist to be making a noticeable whizzing sound during a meeting or something4) Is it easy to find a leather strap from say, Camille Fou and easy to put it on the aquanaut? What about adding on the clasp onto a leather strap?5) What does the dial look like- in some pics it looks like a fairly straight foward black dial and other picks it almost looks like it's got a black Rolex sunburst type look to it?AND regarding the 5167R...1) how dark is the brown strap?2) Is it easy to match up with clothes, for
Hi GuysI will be getting my Black Sky-D tomorrow. I am getting super excited. Lately, I have seen a number of Black dial shown on the forum. Which made me wonder, what's the ratio of blue, black, and white dial that Rolex produces?Maybe every 2 black or white, you see a blue? Let's do a poll on this. Which color dial do you have?
