Invicta 14786 wrist watches news:
So, a guy at my office was admiring my new PAM "0" and mentioned that he also owned a Panerai. I was thinking "cool, a fellow watch enthusiast, now ill have somthing to chat about with this guy when were in the elevator at least three days a week". The next day he shows up with what appears to be from a short distance a very nice looking PAM 090! He offered to let me check it out and throw it on my wrist so I began to give it a quick once over......i will say that i am no expert, but a few things stuck out right away that didn't seem legit. First, there was no serial number on the case back, as in the letter proceeded by 8 numbers divided by a slash in a small rectangular box. Next I noticed that the crown seemed just a tad bit loose, not tight and precise like mine. and the third thing was that the date function appeared to be controlled by a recessed push button at the 7 o'clock position on the side of the case. Would it be safe to assume that this watch was a replica or are there s
Next in the collectionFrom the TOP 10Most "Collectible" Illinois Wrist Watches.#4 The 1930 "Skyway"The first thing you notice about this watch is it's "Aviator Wings"on the face. The watch came with 2 dial color options, black and white. As we have discussed before, "Lucky Lindy" made that famous trip across the Atlantic and air travel was becoming all the rage. This watch is collectible today not only because of it's beauty, but because of it's flawsWhile it's case is adorned with beautiful stars on the front, a little problem was lurking in the back. Most casebacks on watches just popped off and someone decided to put a "screw back" feature on this watch. (probably to keep it more air tight and less susceptible to moisture)Although, a nice feature, no one bothered to tell the watchmakers and many were destroyed when they were "prided off," ripping the threads. Many watchmakers even drilled them off and there are casebacks out there with holes all over them. This pair shares its case with
Hi, there is a AP Roo for sale here in my country, the thing is the watch was pvd treated, and I guess dial and hands replaced so one model would look like something else. The watch is horrible, but if I could replace the case, bracelet, dial and hands perhaps I could end up with a nice watch. But for how much? Anyone knows the cost of a new ss case, dial and hands for an AP 44mm in ss? Went to boutique ( without the watch) and they told it would cost as much as a new watch, is this true? I think i can get the watch for just over 7 k. Thanks and happy 2017 to everyone!Enviado de meu SM-N910C usando Tapatalk
Hello. I have an old Omega that my mother passed down to me and I¡¯m thinking about having it serviced or possibly restored (but I don¡¯t know anything about it). My mother said it belonged to her father and she thinks it was given to him by his father (my mom is 75 years old). Could this watch be from the 40¡¯s or 50¡¯s? The case is 18k. Amazingly, it keeps good time! I¡¯d still like to either get it restored or at the very least, a servicing and new straps. I¡¯d love to hear any information that someone might be able to provide (and I can take more pictures). Not a watch I¡¯d ever sell, just would love to know more about it. Thanks in advance for any information.A
