I'm reposting this here from where I originally posted it in the beginner's forum, I figure it might help here in the GD too.I've seen a number of posts lately asking about different types of lume on watches. I hear a lot about very little, some good information, some bad - I'd like to try to clear that up a bit for everyone. There are three "umbrella categories" that lume can fall into:1. Traditional paint2. Tritium (often called tubes, H3 or gas lights, sometimes called capsules)3. ElectricTraditional paint based lume is by far the most common type. It's applied like a paint, because that's what it is. The paint contains a photoluminescent compound that absorbs light and then gives it off over a period of time. The quality of the paint, application, and the thickness of application (among other things) all have an effect on the resulting product, as you'll likely see below. Anyone know the lug width on the PO 8900 43.5mm?
I love the new end link design that provide a more conforming fit to the wrist on the new PO 8900 43.5mm, but I simply cannot get past the glossy look of the dial and bezel...I much prefer the matte look of the PO 8500 42mm dial and bezel!Does anyone know the lug width of the PO8900 43.5mm and will that bracelet fit the PO 8500 42mm case?Thanks in advance!
