Last night here in Los Angeles I was invited to view the traveling roadshow which is the Only Watch 2011 timepiece collection. On an arduous trip around the globe the 40 or so watches up for auction later this month in Monaco will have made only two stops in the United States before being bid on by those interested in acquiring these one-of-a-kind pieces.I began my coverage of Only Watch 2011 here where I logged each of the entrant pieces. The every-other-year event asked brands to "play the game" as they call it. Which entails brands offering totally unique watch creations donated to be bid on for charity. Collectors and those with a lust for wrist candy eagerly await the event now operated by Antiquorum.The venue selected to show off the pieces was Westime Beverly Hills. Speedy advice
OK having a decent collection of Rolex and looking to add some variety ive always been intersted in the speedmaster moonwatch, (ive got a PO and cant fault it) Now im not really up to speed(no pun intended) on the models nor the pricing, i like the idea of the plexiglass as a vintage point of view.I went into one of the local AD's last night and got offered one for about $3400usd with the massive omega box(loupe,straps ect...)Is this a decent price or am i paying for packaging... after all you dont wear the box lol! its very cool but its going to live in the cupboard with all the other ones.Should i look for an older second hand pre special packaging? or is this a decent price for this set?just looking for some knowledgeable opinions cheers

Hello. A friend of 20 years has offered to sell me an 18ct gold/stainless steel Omega Seamaster with a white face for 2,300. He says it is worth about 4,000. He has the original box and warranty card. I can only find one similar model in my entire and extensive research. Has anyone seen this model before or own it themselves? Any idea of it's worth? I trust my friend completely, but I want todo my homework first. Thank you.

Definitely check out this issue if you are an Omega fan. The magazine itself is great as usual, focusing on sports models, but it comes packaged with a separate volume completely devoted to Omega, its history, its strategy for the future, its new co-axil movement, etc... Great reading
