Question on my Speedy Reduced
I have an Omega reduced speedy that is a DD2020 movtThe problem is that it seems that when I start the chronograph, the Minute hand jumps just a bit, this is not normal right?Note: It does not do this all the time.I think what is happening is that when the second hand is lets say past the 30 second mark, when the chrono is engaged the minute hand jumps to the next indicie. If you engage the chrono before the 30 second mark the minute hand does not jump as much, this might be normal.Best rgds Bill & thanks for the input Bill in il (billa1967@sbcglobal)

His and Hers SMPs (black ceramic)
My wife and I were visiting Seattle and decided to stop by the Omega Boutique. They had a fantastic selection of watches and a very knowledgable sales staff. We ended up purchasing his and hers black ceramic SMPs, which look much better in person than they do in photos. I have a Bond SMP that's about 15 years old, and this watch is a major upgrade. Here's a photo I took in the boutique.

New Omega Opinions
I have been pondering buying an Omega watch for several months. Since my vintage Connie ended up being a franken watch, I have not had an Omega in my collection.Last year I had the Speedy Broad Arrow in my sights, but ended up buying my Longines Master Series instead. So now I am looking to purchase. I am not sure which one to get. I like the Planet Ocean, but want the 2900.50.37, which is the large black bezel on the brown alligator strap. My question is this, since I do not dive, would I be better off looking for a dressier model? Also do most here have the SMP on the bracelet? The SMP is the watch I keep looking at on line. Still I have never tried one on and am not sure how the 45mm will wear on my wrist compaired to the 42mm. I don't know why I am drawn to it, except I do want my next watch to be some what sporty and have always wanted another Omega.Another one I have been thinking about is a Speedy, just for the history of the watch. 2 Pateks or one ALS?
I have decided to move both of my AP 44's as i am just not feeling them anymore. The RG still sings to me, but not enough to keep. They were never forever watches for me as they are very big and i cant see myself with them when i'm old. So, if im going to get rid of them eventually, now is as good of time as any. The choices in consideration though are more classic and timeless IMO. Basically i can see myself actually wearing them when i'm an old man. The AP offshores, not so much and they will never be that to me.Since i'm not buying any new watches currently (adding to the collection), this doesnt count as im just replacing watches What would you do? Im in the Patek forum so i know it will probably be weighted to the Patek choices but try to think objectively. The Zeitwerk also has an outside chance of making the cut, but my wife hates it so its not officially in consideration at the moment. Plus, it would probably split the ALS vote if i included it as a third option. ALS resa
