New Seiko srp589 Prospex diver
Just arrived two days ago, and I'm enjoying this one. Features the 4r36 movement (hacking, manual winding and self winding), screw down caseback and crown, 200m. A good size, and wears well. Some pics below:Anyone else have this model?Eric

What color Zulu strap for a Seiko 007J
I know that I have posted about me trying to get the spring bars off and the Bond Zulu strap on and want to order maybe one or two more colors in the Zulu style to share between my Seiko and my Titanium Bertucci. So I have the SKX007J and want to know what colors you guys like with it.

Modded versus frankenwatch
One thing about horology that confuses me is the difference between a "modded" watch and a "frankenwatch".Both have parts that are not original to the watch, i.e. a different dial, hands or case etc. So why is one apparently acceptable (modded) and the other (frankenwatch) is not?Is it the intent? By that I mean does someone who mods a watch mean it to be just that ( a watch that has been altered from the original) and someone who builds a frankenwatch has the intent to deceive?The difference between a fake and an authentic watch, for example a Rolex is clear to me, it's just the difference between a modded watch and a so called frankenwatch that has me puzzled.

First Rolex Incoming!!
Hey every, as some of you know I have been in the market for a Rolex and was inbetween a Rhodium YM or SubC date. I went into my AD today as he had both in stock to try and figure out which one I was going to purchase (in the FUTURE).Ultimately decided that the YM was a little too flashy and the Sub was just timeless, perfect, and everything I was looking for in my first Rolex (currently wear a Tag Formula Chrono).I tried to wheel a deal...and got the option to ship out of state withba small discount. I was really back and forth on whether or not I should pull the trigger (like my whole neck was red and my girlfriend was laughing because I was nervous/excited). Ultimately I decided to walk out because I really wanted to wait a little longer......30 minutes later I calle day AD and said screw it!!! Let¡¯s put a bow on it! Bought my first Rolex 116610LNThe WORSTE part is I don¡¯t get to wear it till next weekend when I see my best friend out of state!!!P.S. how do I post picture from
