Invicta 7243 wrist watches news:
I¡¯m considering buying a Rolex Milgauss. I¡¯ve heard that Rolex has a policy that they will not repair or service older or vintage model watches, Do you think that there is at least a good thirty years before the new model Milgauss fall into this category? I don¡¯t want to buy something I can¡¯t get repaired ten years down the road if it¡¯s needed.
I have been generously leant this Barnato Racing by a friend and colleague for review. If you have read most of my previous watch reviews you will know that I purposefully shy away from the car-watch analogies. The main reason for this is that these descriptive similes are used readily by those that frequent watch forums. It¡¯s a universal method for explaining the specifics of a particular timepiece. I will not be making any car-watch correlations within this review but I will be highlighting multiple parallels between one famous luxury car manufacturer and a highly established high end watch manufacturer. No prizes for guessing: Bentley and Breitling, respectively. Let¡¯s face it: if you are of the demographic who like high end timepieces you probably also know a reasonable amount about high end motor cars. Both are highly covetable objects that go way beyond their functionality. Both are driven by mechanical engines whose designers and artisans are motivated by reliability and desirabi
I received an invitation to visit one of my AD's gala grand opening next week. The month of May has always been watch month at this store. Last year, Omegas, Tags, and Breitlings were offered at 30% (normally the discount on these makers is 20% off). I called them today to inquire about what discounts they're offering this year. They told me 15-20% off. I asked why the huge drop. I was told both Omega and Breitling threatened to pull their line if the store went any higher than 20% off. Sounds like these makers are going the Rolex route on discounts.
I had an Omega Seamaster get lost in the mail in November and have filled out all kinds of paperwork to file the claim.I filed the claim and received a letter back Saturday that they are denying my claim based on a watch is a restricted or prohibited item and that I take on responibility myself if I still ship it. Can you belive that. We'll now more shipping with USPS. I tried to help them by shipping whenever I can and I get this Koolaid handed to me.Is a watch a prohibited item? I can not find any info under their site that says a watch is a prohibited item.
I was talking with the Rolex rep at my local AD and he said the SS Coke GMT is coming this year at Basel...it will have a jubilee bracelet instead of the oyster.I know, I know...everyone discounts these types of predictions...so take it with a grain of salt. I will say this, however, I've NEVER posted a Basel prediction before and this was the first time the Rolex rep himself said the info to me (it wasn't just a salesperson at the AD spewing unknown info). So there you have it...we'll know in a few days.If true, though...count me in!
