We talk about the Land Shark! I mean Landship by Azimuth, and whether Debaufre watches are a good value. All that and more on the latest HourTime Show episode.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 65 here.
My 8 year old Seiko SKA039 came back from servicing today. After the trouble I went to sending it, I was a bit shocked when it came back in a jiffy-bag (bubble-wrap lined envelope)! I had used an old hard drive box complete with sponge/foam at the base and top, with bubble-wrap in between around the watch. I sent it by insured special delivery too. Okay, it was only worth ¡ê200 in 2000 but still wouldn't want to lose it. But the Seiko service centre sent it back by recorded delivery (no insurance AFAIK) and in a jiffy bag, where it could rattle around inside or get trapped between other heavy packages. Is that normal??!Apart from this though, the service was quite fast. They send you a letter confirming they have received it, with a userID and password for their web-site. You can log in and view the status of the job. The letter was dated 11th June, and I got the watch back today on the 18th. According to the blurb they just swapped in a new movement, oils, gaskets and battery
As an omega fan, I really hated Omega making millions of meaningless limited editions just ruining masterpieces like moonwatch.Anyways, in this basel 2012, seems like they came up with a ltd edition that looks worth buying...This has cal. 1861 and is a replica of the first omega that was sent to space. So, do you guys think this is a limited edition finally worth buying and will keep its value along the way?
I'm in the market for a new watch whether it be any brand, but I LOVE pateks.. I'm looking for an affordable one under 10,000. Current thoughts: 3923 and Calatrava 3468.
Hi all Rolex aficionados! I am quite a newbie in this forum - a newbie to Rolex really. I have always wanted one. I could never pull the trigger - until now. I have come into good stride in my career and I thought what better way to mark this than buy the long coveted dream watch!I am a lady and my choice is the 31mm with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. After that, I am stuck . I cannot for the life of me, decide on the dial. After trying on different dials in AD, I may have narrowed it down to:1. SS with bronze dial with diamond on VI (technically, this is actually two-tone as the bezel is white gold, but for this purpose, I just put SS)2. Two-tone Everose gold in sundust/pale pink dial with diamond markersI suppose my question is - what would you go for - SS or TT? Plus what do you think of the everose? It¡¯s really pretty, but someone commented to me that it is ¡°on the way out¡± as YG is ¡°coming back¡±? Your thoughts much appreciated!
