Invicta 19297 wrist watches news:
Sotheby¡¯s May 10 auction of fine timepieces at the Beau-Rivage Hotel in Geneva will feature treasures old and new. The star among the modern offerings is a Patek Philippe split-seconds chronograph Ref. 5959P. This piece, estimated at between $250,000 and $350,000, contains Patek¡¯s first fully in-house chronograph calibre, CHF 27-525PS, which, at 5.25mm, is the thinnest column-wheel split-seconds chronograph ever made. Important vintage wristwatches are well represented in this sale, and the notable models include a Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 fourth series, circa 1981, estimated at between $280,000 and $350,000.One of the highlights of the evening will be rare and historically significant gold, enamel and diamond presentation pocket watch with matching chain and fob symbolizing the Royal Military Order of Saint George, most probably made for King Ludwig II of Bavaria circa 1880. This piece is estimated at between $27,000 and $44,000.
When it comes to watches, many folks probably do not give much thought to the strap, other than making sure they like one that the watch comes with. For those of us who have fallen down the rabbit hole of watch appreciation and collection, then things like watch straps get more attention. As we have said here time and again, changing out the strap of a watch can really change its character, especially if you go with something that is particularly colorful. With that in mind, today, we will cover three different watch straps we had in from Da Luca Straps. When it comes to watch straps, you have all manners of companies vying for your attention. You can get downright affordable ones that allow you to pick up a variety, or you can go the fully custom route, made out of some very high-end leathers. The ones we have today from Da Luca Straps try to strike a good balance between the price, materials, and quality offered. When I went through their catalog to see what made sense for review, I ke
If you’re anything like me, you mainly know Zenith for their El Primero Chronographs – and, most notably, for their El Primero Classic Chronograph that they released at Baselworld this year. What most people don’t know is that the 150-year-old manufacture released another batch of watches at Baselworld 2015; these pieces received less camera-time than others, but they’re all doing pretty interesting things – so it may be unfair that Zenith’s new Type 20 Pilot collection has been flying under the radar for this long. The first of these watches, and, the most accessible, is the “Pilot Type 20 Extra Special,” a watch similar to the past iterations of Zenith’s pilot collection with one obvious distinction: it’s in bronze. Out with the stainless steel, in with the readily-acquired-patina, am I right? The distinct choice of metal combined with the watch’s large onion crown, domed sapphire crystal, and militaristic case
Now that my old Omega Seamaster is fixed - I'm turning my attention to an Omega 18mm replacement band. I found one on eBay but does anyone know if an old #608 band with standard end links would fit? I attached a pic if helps. On the Seamaster I have, the lugs are quite thin - like 2mm. Another pic of it is attached. But not sure of the height on the 608 band's end links - will it fit?.
Hi - so I'm looking for a new watch travel case or roll...so thought I'd start a thread on where you all keep your watches! Also any recommendations on any travel cases would be great! Thanks
