Sorry, guys. No photos. I cannot post from this device.I am writing about the 46mm with dark grey dial and light brown strap- see google for images.I was in the market for something oversize. Something I could wear to work with a nice suit. Something like an IWC Big Pilot or a Panerai Luminor....but for a fraction of the price. So one Saturday in January, my buddy and I dropped by our top local Hamilton dealer for a browse before heading to the pub.And there it was.The King Pilot caught my eye from the display case and when I heard the price, I had to struggle to stop smiling so that I could negotiate with my poker face. I would have paid full retail, no problem! The King Pilot is a work of art. The color scheme, grey dial and light brown strap, is just gorgeous. The huge case is a stunning combination of brushed and polished stainless steel.I mean, I could go and on. It's fantastic. And the movement, which can be seen through the back, is super cool. The strap is so thick and

Hello TRF:I currently have a 5711 and BLNR in my two watch collection and I'm in the market for another watch. I have owned many watches but find myself coming back to Patek and Rolex. The big question is what should be next?! I dress business casual to work and pretty casual on the weekends. I'd love to stay around $10k-ish so I'm thinking possibly a vintage Calatrava (preferably not a hobnail dial) or maybe a vintage Rolex like a 1601...Any recommendations for a Calatrava in that price range? (Slightly smaller sizes are okay with me). What reference number for the Calatrava? Which metal is best for retaining value? Suggestions of other watches to complement what I have are welcome if you feel there is something better than Calatrava/Vintage Rolex. Thanks in advance!
I'm considering buying an all yellow gold Submariner. If I do, it might be new, or it might be a vintage (such as a 16618).I can't decide which face/bezel color - black or blue? Both are beautiful, in different ways. Both face colors go great with yellow gold, but they are very different looks. Gold/black is probably more subdued/classy, and gold/blue seems more striking, but it's almost too much color. What do you all prefer? Which do you think is the more common color? Thanks!Ken
