Corum will bring to the prestigious complication split-seconds chronograph to the collection of their popular Admiral Cup of watchmaking. Admiral Corum watch of Cup Challenge 44 seconds Split chronograph will feature a case 44 mm rose gold 18 K in diameter, a carbon fibre bezel, and a guard of the Crown accented by elements of rubber sport. Black lacquered dial is the emblematic nautical flags on his Bride, and the chronograph subdials are lined with 18 carat gold. The watch is equipped with a crocodile strap and a corresponding loop of pink gold. This Corum Cup watch new Admiral is animated by a movement of automatic mechanical 31-jewel which has obtained the COSC certification; the chronograph offers a counter 12 hours and 30 minutes, as long as continuously running subsidiary seconds. The split-seconds chronograph function is activated by the push-piece on the case between eight and 09.

My Benrus collection, warning: kinda funky
So, I have been getting my watches back from my watch guy, and have started putting them in their slots for the trip back to California, for the coming spring and summer antique markets, and I find I have some nice Benruses gathered, .....nothing terribly valuable, but I like them .......First up a pair of rose gold-filled, with matching orginal bracelets, ( marked Benrus) and very similar indeed.....and I got them within a week of each other...they also run like champs....more than 40 hours on a wind......anyone have an idea how old they are,.....40s????I like this one (above) best cause of the cool deco numbers)then, here's a neat watch, that is close to impossible to photograph.....it's a lot better looking in person .....a weirdly metalic dial...........Now this one is still waiting for it's band, but the interesting thing about it is that the crystal is about 1/4 inch thick............now my favorite one, who has been around this site before, tada ! ......the balck and silver on

new old stock?
As some of you may know, I bought a watch by the name of "Royale" from my watchmaker for $35. It says "Swiss made" on the dial and when I opened it up I was surprised to see it was a Baumgartner 866 one jewel manual wind movement. It says Swiss made on the movement and also says E. Gluck trading co. E. Gluck was founded in 1955. My watchmaker (who is Swiss) says it's new old stock. However, I don't know what he means by that. It looks like it's a late 50s early 60s and is in great condition. Is it from the 60s? It says "case made in hong kong" on the caseback. I was just wondering if it was vintage or vintage parts or something. I'm not sure what new old stock means

My first complicated Patek
I'm so excited that I got my first complicated Patek today. I've debated for quite some time between a few models, and had narrowed it down to the 5235G, 5070G, or 5960P-016. The other challenge was actually finding the watches, as two of them are discontinued and the 5235G is not exactly a dime a dozen I would gladly own all three, but unfortunately my wallet disagrees, so thus the journey to narrow it down to one. Very difficult decision as each watch is unique and grail worthy in their own rights, but in the end the complications, stunning black dial, and platinum won out.
