So we're not impressed with the new offerings at Basel. We all love the older designs. What vintage model would you reissue if you were a Hamilton designer? What changes would you make to the original?I'll start with the 1949 Clinton. If I were to redesign this I would up the case diameter to 38-40mm, about 45-47mm lug-to-lug. I would keep the flexible lug design and leather strap. Instead of including this in the vintage line, I might rename it the Khaki Civilian model.

Sellita has been producing ETA 2824 clones for about a year now.Folks in the Invicta Forum have reported winding stem problems since the movement was introduced.But other brands including Breitling and Oris use the same movement. Any word on if similar experiences are being reported with other companies?And, finally, there are several other mass market automatic Swiss movements currently on the market. Do you own one? And what's your experience. (I'm not talking about in-house manufacturered movements or corporate tweaked ETAs.)?

Seal issue with new (to me) Patek 5711
I just got a 5711 from a used dealer two weeks or so ago, have work it a hand full of times and this morning noticed that there is what looks like to be a clear thin seal that surrounds the crystal between it and the bezel has come loose/out. It looks like a thin piece of rubber string. I emailed the dealer as they include a 1 year warranty. I've never heard of this issue and wanted to hear some feedback.Thank you for your time and advice!
