A Great Watch Weekend
So, anyone remember the story I told about meeting the watch repair man in the antique store about a month ago? Well, as I got my tax return last week, I called him on Friday to arrange for the vintage Bulova automatic (Which by the way, kept great time!) to be fixed (Couldn't set it clockwise-crown came undone). He said for me to drop it off on Saturday. As well, I really wanted to get my wife a decent watch for Vaelntine's Day, so i've been searching Craigslist lately. I saw a very nice Citizen Eco Drive ladies watch in a style I knew she'd like posted this past Wednesday. "Man, if it's still for sale when I get my tax return, I'm going to buy it" Sure enough, tax return hit on Thursday. So, I met the seller on Friday (She happened to be in my aera right after I left the bank-it worked out perfectly!). The only problem with the watch was the band was missing a pin, which she noted in the ad. She had the original bax, papers, books and extra links. It was working, so I bought it.So, n

London Calling : Christopher Ward C8 Pilot MK II Automatic
This is my first from the British watch company Christopher Ward. Ordering direct was easy, service was prompt and delivery by post took one week. This is my first 'Pilot' watch and I really like the cream colored dial and the excellent legibility of the dial markings. At 44mm by 52mm and with a 37.5mm dial it wears large and I'm wearing it on the last position on the strap. I have a 7 1/4 inch wrist.It has minimal lume, but is sufficient to read easily as the hands are quite large. Looking to possibly purchase this vintage Breitling. I believe it's dated from around 1972, gold with stainless case back. Does anyone have info on this model, 9122? Any info about at all and/or value would be appreciated. This would be my first Breitling so be nice? What do you guys think of it too? Not my picute btw. Thanks.
