Jacob & Co. JC - SKULL4DC wrist watches news:
Many of us do not think twice before buying a watch band to replace the original damaged or broken one. However, for those who are fashion conscious, the task of choosing the right band is a cautious and more time consuming one. It is important to choose a watchband that syncs perfectly with your watch and more importantly with your style. Otherwise the mismatch can be too glaring. Alain Silberstein watch bands are among the most preferred watch bands because they allow you to make a style statement
Does the 19AS stem wind? Mine does not, and I think it should. I have to put it on my wrist and then set the time later in the day. It has also been stopping periodically, like a day or two later on the wrist, as if it is not winding efficiently, and it has a pretty advanced winding system, as I understand, comparable to the IWC Pellaton system. I have sent it back under warranty to the dealer but there is no change, in fact it is worse now. I'm thinking the watch technician doesn't know what to do with these, maybe I'm wrong. The dealer is one I trust, and it is his service, but...David
I just bought a circa 1999-2001 or so BNIB Breguet Marine 4400BB/12/B70. It came with a small booklet (see photos). As far as papers, does anybody know if this is all that came with Breguet watches around this time period? Also, the watch does not appear to have the "secret signature." Per Breguet's web site, "Their very success soon made Breguet's watches a tempting target for counterfeiters. In 1795, Breguet came up with a countermeasure: the secret signature. Etched into the dial, the signature is all but invisible unless the dial is examined in oblique light. Still a token of authenticity today, the secret signature has remained a feature of most Breguet dials down to the present." I've looked in different types of light and with a loupe, but don't see it. Any idea of determining the definition of "most" Breguets having this feature. Thanks.
Hi, I want to get a leather strap for my SS Skydweller, does anyone know the lug width? Thanks.
Have a question for those with the No Date Submariner. I love the idea of having a watch that I can literally wear all the time in every condition. Are late model Subs still designed around durability and hard wear or have they shifted more to the luxury side? I'm not some crazy extreme sports guy but I do a fair amount of travel and water sports. Would love to have a watch that's always on my wrist for the next 20 years.Sorry if this is the dumbest question ever.
