hi gang,just started the process of house hunting to take advantage of the dip in the market and that got my juices flowing for my other passion, cars!!!i have always been a car guy and have owned quite a few nice cars buthad to sacrifice all that living in nyc. as soon as i move though it's going to be about the car :)i have found myself researching cars instead of watches and frankly i don'tmiss the watches much.probably a function of grass is greener on the other side but rest assured whenever we find our house it will have to have a big garage!!!i currently have 9 watches and will keep three and sell the other six to finance a ridiculously overpriced, impractical car:)hope this doesn't come off as a downer because i don't mean it that way but i just reached a point where i needed a change. i like vintage watches but it has just gotten ridiculous in price and i found myself worried more about the watch value rather then just appreciating the piece. i think i just burned myself ou

Hello...I have a collection of watches ranging from Timex to Rolex. I am looking to buy a new watch with the following specifications, which currently exists on my very cheap Timex Expedition...but I can't find anything appropriate. Maybe some watch-savvy here can help me?! Here goes...I am looking for a watch, any brand, with the following features:-actual numbers, not indicator lines or dots, at everywhere except the "3" position on the dial (that position is usually occupied by a day-of-the-week indicator)- easy to read in other words-waterproof or water-resistant-Indiglo or any other type of internally lit dial so I can press a button and read the watch at night-alarm or alarms that can be set for anything within an hour (0 to 59 minutes) and anything from 1 to 12 hours-analog face, not a digital watch-battery operated is fine and possibly preferred-watch face less than 40 mm in diameter, preferably about 36, 37, 39 or so millimeters-watch face black preferably but grey, blue or

Well, maybe not the Moon but certainly on air!Here's my new baby, the Speedy Pro.Lovely 'wear-anywhere' watch, no airs about the watch (and it's owner!); must admit the Hesalite crystal had me stumped for some time as I didn't want a watch I had to be really careful about as I HATE scratches.However only the Hesalite watch has the steel back (glass backs do nothing for me) so the original Moon-watch it had to be!And very glad that I made the right choice; something really historic about this watch.Very legible too- that's a major point for me as I drive in a country full of maniacs when it comes to road etiquette and taking your eyes off the road= heading fast for a better world.And yes, I have removed the plastic stickers now.
