- Very nice looking, however the color was too redish for me. The quality is excellent if you can get past the color and works great.

- I've had this watch for about a month now and so far so good. No complaints, however I do recommend changing the standard watch band with one of the more modern military straps being sold (see item pictures for suggestions).

Jaeger LeCoultre 190.t4.40 wrist watches news:
Sorry this has taken so long - I have a string of excuses if you would like to hear them - not really huh? Oh well, on with the show! The traditional bga shot:Obviously no AR, but nice detail on the dial. Screw down crown with a unidirectional bezel. Interesting complication - the day & night indicator. I know what you are thinking, just look out the window - but you can't do that on the Red October (in a submarine)...I like the attention to detail on the movement (a Vostok 2416). The blued screws are painted (not actually blued) - but a nice touch. I also like the rotor - excellent detail for a watch at this price point. As you can see, this is a "limited" edition watch - only 3,000 made (unless they can sell more I am guessing).I am a little disappointed in the finishing quality. Look at the lug on the bottom left (the second hand is pointing at it) - it was not fully brushed. A little detail that speaks loudly - although, that is the only thing wrong with the watch. The

I have not owned a Submariner yet, but I will one day. I do own a Seamaster Pro now though. I have handled and worn many a Submariner and to me at least it does not feel like its a $5K+ watch. It is very well built, but feels cheap in its bracelet mostly, and feels light to me. My SMP on the other hand is built like a tank. The bracelet is many times better than the Rolex bracelet. Im aware that Rolex uses a completely in house built movement, which contributes to the price of a Sub I am sure. At the same time I have trouble believing it is head and shoulders above a Swiss ETA based movement which becomes the Omega Ca. 1120 in my SMP. I firmly believe it is Rolex's control of their dealers and marketing, along with annual price increases on new watches that keeps the prices of the pre owned Subs so high. I actually had a guy with a Sub talk down to me yesterday when he saw my Omega. He said Heh you have an Omega, I a Rolex Submariner, a real watch. Then he proceeded to shove it in my f
