Vacheron Constantin from the Packard Collection Brings $1.8 Million at Christie’s
A Grand Complication pocket watch in 20-carat gold by Vacheron Constantin that belonged to famed collector James Ward Packard brought $1,800,000 at Christie¡¯s New York auction. Bidders from around the world displayed keen interest, driving the price to an absolute record for Vacheron Constantin in the U.S. market. Packard was one of the first U.S. collectors to work directly with the Geneva-based watch manufacturer to build up a collection of unique timepieces. The watch, in addition to displaying the hours, minutes and seconds beneath a rock crystal glass, features a personalized combination of complications including hour, minute, quarter and half-quarter repeating, grande and petite sonnerie, as well as a 30-minute chronograph register.The back of the piece features a “JWP” monogram on blue enamel, executed in Geneva following a sketch made by Packard himself. ROO Diver Strap hole position
Anyone wear the short strap version and on the second hole? I find this the most comfortable for me, it is a little loose but okay. The third hole is tight especially after my wrist expands. The awkward part is that on the second hole, the strap tail is too short. The second loop does not don't hold it down. Some times the loop just hangs not on the strap. I noticed the AP store manager had his watch set up like this as well. Do you guys have this issue? Thanks

I've just ordered my first Panerai....a PAM 00050 with steel bracelet plus extra rubber and leather straps on deployment clasp.I now have a Rolex 1972 1603 Datejust (birth year), a Breitling Montbrillant Datora, A Tag Heuer Link Auto Chronograph (40th pressie off my wife last year), a Tag Heuer sports elegance and the incoming Panerai!!

AD Removed All the Stickers!!!
Greetings AllI recently purchased a Rolex Explorer Ref. 214270 in an AD in London/UK. To my surprise I was told by the AD that all the stickers would have to be removed before handing it over to me. The AD also stated that it was their NEW Policy on all Rolex Professional Models. Is this to prevent resellers from flipping?Is this happening in other parts of the world?
