Davosa is a brand that does things a little differently. Their designs are interesting and their prices are fair for a Swiss made watch. We last took a look at their Vigo GMT model, which was a nice mix of vintage and dress styling with a textured dial, hot orange lume and a quality Swiss ETA 2893-2 movement. This time, we'll be examining a watch that is somewhat the opposite of that¡­ a bold, modern diver with mean looks and a dark palette. The Argonautic Ceramic in Gun Metal has a fierce presence that is the result of a bold dial design, high contrast bezel, and a dark grey case. Do you make it a point of being a regular visitor to ADs?
I have to say that I tend to peruse an item more online and only go into an AD when I have a burning need to burn off some GBPs. Besides all that the watches I want are all discontinued in any event so it's online for me for the very most part.How about you guys? Do you visit ADs often? Question about c.1120 movement
Hello to all, On my Seamaster 2255 automatic, I noticed it seems to be gaining about 10 seconds per day. For a certified chronometer, this seems a little excessive. I have not worn it constantly in the year or so since I have had it, just a day here and a day there. Is this something I should be concerned about or have looked at? This does not seem to be inside the specs for a movement like this, unless I am wrong. Is there any validity to the "break-in" period I always hear about for a movement? I have probably only worn it for about a total of a little over a month all together. How long should I wait until getting it looked at? Any help/info would be appreciated. thanks, Paul in NY

Decided on a watch for my wife...
She asked me to pick one for her, and she would trust my judgment. Well, I went with a brand I'd never heard of for several reasons:I doubt they were making their own movements - they were probably using one of the more common self winding ones made at the time.I really like the way it looks, and I think it suits her personality better than the tiny banded watches that look more like a bracelet than a watch.I didn't want to spend too much money, since it is a bit of a gamble as to whether she'll like it.She is not brand conscious at all.
