I am hoping someone can give any info on the watch my friend has!. I have been on a few other forums about this watch,and i am wondering if anyone has heard or has reference of a Seamaster XVI with a 18K solid GOLD Dial!. Now before you fall of you're chairs in laughter We had the watch taken apart at an Authorised Omega dealer and they verified,it was indeed a solid gold dial!. The dial has the #s 25546 Z.J. OR on the back and it looks to be unaltered,and from what some people are saying is,the Z.R. letters were from a vendor that produced these dials at this time. The rest of the watch is all correct 471 calibre 19 Jewels,18K case and back, and original crown and hands!. The crystal was changed as it was cracked!.I have sent the info to Omega H.O. but they want us to ship it there to get appraised!. I am hesitant about shipping it even across town,let alone the Atlantic as i've heard too many hooror stories!. It took me hrs to figure out how to upload pics as ia am not computer savy

...in starting our own "neighborhood watch"? I saw the thread in the Community Forum, and my first thought was about wrist watches instead of guarding your block against criminal activity. It made me think of another forum that had shipped a watch all over the place to regular members. Each member wore it a week and sent it on it's way to the next on the list. During that week, a couple pictures were taken with the local sights and posted. Now, this obviously can't be an expensive watch. Let's see if there's enough interest and we'll go from there. Sound good?

What do you guys think of it? Thinking about trading my Datora up for a 47.... I like the beefier size on my wrist (I'm 6'2, 8 wrist). But I'm not sure. My AD wants 6700 for it (roughly 10% off msrp). Is that decent or should I shoot for a better discount?On the other hand... also been considering a Cal 01. I'm on the fence.... I really don't want or need 2 Navitimers. What should I do/?

PAM 50 strap issue
Hi everyone. I had purchased a leather (maybe gator) OEM strap from a member on another forum, paneristi. I had worn it for a month or so and the stitching came off. The stitching that holds the spring. I will send pictures ASAP but wanted to know if this is a common issue and if it can be fixed. I called Panerai last week and they had mentioned they do not cover the strap, which was strange to me. Thoughts on how this can be fixed or if it can't be fixed at all.Thanks in advanceAsh
