- Pretty- but why didn't anyone say how noisy this watch is as it clanks on the wrist and how heavy it is. Very pretty, great price though.

Jaeger LeCoultre Q1352420-BK wrist watches news:
Found a Mondaine at a local AD. It was 70% off so I picked up the 41mm version for $55 after tax. Does anyone own one?Information from Mondaine website;Mondaine¡¯s Design Line needs almost no introduction. The hallmark of this collection, the Official Swiss Railway watch, is recognized worldwide. Based on Swiss designer and engineer Hans Hilfiker¡¯s 1940s patented classic, the Swiss Railway Station Clock (over 3,000 clocks are seen in every station), Mondaine developed the model-protected wristwatch version in 1986 that has also become a classic. First and foremost, I wanted to thank everyone for providing their views and suggestions when I was debating which watch to get...whether it was the RG Schumi / RB2 , the Ti RB2, or Ti RM11...what it really came down to is minimizing cash flow at this time given I've added a couple of other big pieces to the collection the last couple of months.I was walking around the mall today with the kids. Told my wife i was going to visit the RM boutique for a few minutes. Stopped by the AP boutique on the way...and there she was in the display window...the 44mm RG ROO Ceramic.I've always thought this was the perfect / reasonable upgrade for my RGRC.Tried it all, discussed approximate discounts, and told them to hold it for a few hours while I ran a few errands (take my RGRC to the second hand shops to sell).Got quite a decent price for the RGRC and got a great discount on the retail on this piece...too good of a deal to pass up. So here she is!!!Just a quick wrist shot...will post better photos
I love the Bentley motors and Navitimer world watch with the white faces. I have 3 rolex watches but wanted to take a walk on the wild side but stay classic. I like the steel band but would get a few croc straps too.Anything I should watch out for from a model stand point or year of build.Much thanksJimmy
Can't go wrong with a Pam 88
What are we really paying for?(Apologies, if this is an 'old chestnut' of a post).But. I was wondering how many of us here, actually use the added functions of our Rolexes? From the Submariner and it's various depth ratings to the Sea Dweller & DeepSea's incredible specifications. (I have read that only 2% of wearers of 'Divers Watches' can actually swim). How many of us, wearing a Yachtmaster, GMT, Daytona, Milgaus ,et al, make use of their full capabilities?I have travelled across various time zones and found it easier to change the position of the hands on my GMT, rather than figure out the correct, relevant position of the bezel etc. So. What ARE we paying for, beyond a reliable, sturdy movement in a nice, tight case? Are all those extra, albeit, beautifuly designed and sculpted features just a personal fashion/style statement? I suppose I've just answered my own question! There will be many amongst us on this BRILLIANT, helpfull, knowledgeable and friendly forum that, sail yachts,
