- I have now owned two HRM watches. The first one worked for a reasonable length of time, say 6 or 8 months. It then was able to receive heart rate data from the chest strap.

Jaeger LeCoultre 149 24 2A wrist watches news:
Southern California-based Reactor is introducing their top-selling Gamma watch in titanium. The original Gamma, introduced in 2008, quickly became the brand’s #1 seller. The new titanium version weighs 50% less than the stainless steel model yet features the same 45.5mm case and 300 meter depth rating. The new titanium model also offers Reactor’s exclusive, patent-pending Never Dark illumination, which allows viewing in any light for over 12 years. Never-Dark is a proprietary lighting system that combines intensely bright Swiss Superluminova with long-lasting tritium gas-filled tubes. The Gamma Ti’s K-1 crystal has 4 layers of anti-glare coating to make it easier to read under water. The watch also has a unidirectional timing bezel and a day/date movement with 10-year power cell. Like all Reactors, Gamma Ti features a triple o-ring screw-down crown system for added water resistance, and a secure screw bar case-to-band interface. The Gamma Ti will ship in early March wi

I was out with my wife at happy hour last night having a California roll, miso soup and PBR. I noticed a guy at the bar who looked like Andy Dick. He had on a huge, quality sort of watch. So, like always, I briefly interrupted him as he passed my table and inquired into his 'timepiece.' He said it was a Breitling. "Oh, said I, is that the Navitimer?" Yes, it was, although it was a little different than any model I had seen before. He was happy I was geek enough to know all of that, and he said to me: "You know, women have jewelry, but we men only have our watch. It should be something nice I think."Yep. True dat.
For those of you with the Tudor Price Date Chrono (model 79260 and it's bezel variants) with the leather strap endlinks...........what's the thickest strap you have been able to fit at the lugs without the endlinks getting in the way?The factory tudor leather strap is quite thin where the springbar holes are in the strap, and then it gets thicker. Most aftermarket straps are quite thick at the springbar holes (most Hirsch straps are 4mm to 4.5mm) and I'm curious if they fit.I had a Tudor Hydronaut rubber strap and tried to install it on my Tudor chrono but the strap was too thick to fit. Unfortunately, I sold the strap without measuring it so I can't even use that measurement as a baseline.Thanksjames
