"HyperChrome" sounds like a pretty cool name if you ask me. That could be the name a neat video game or anime TV show. But no, for 2012 the HyperChrome is going to be a new collection of watches from Rado. In this article I am debuting two of the new HyperChrome watches, but according to Rado there will be about 27 varieties this year alone!The HyperChrome asserts Rado's key strength as a producer of quality ceramic watches. Available in black and white ceramic variants, Rado uses some sophisticated technology to make nicely formed ceramic parts. The case for example is a monocoque (single) piece, with hardened steel sidings. Hardness rating for them is 1,250 Vickers. It comes in a few styles and sizes for both men and women.Rado has learned over the last few years that many of its key designs (many thematically unchanged since the 1980s) are a bit too distinct for the modern mass market. SkyRacer - My Review
During my time as a self-confessed Watch Geek, WIS, call it what you will, I have frequented numerous forums populated by likeminded individuals. I have witnessed many a post announcing a new timepiece. If I had a pound for every time somebody declared that ¡°These pictures do not do this watch any justice¡± I would be able to buy this brilliant Skyracer from Breitling. This statement has never rung truer than with this model from their Professional range. I have never had the pleasure of wearing a watch that absolutely demands to be seen on the wrist in changing light conditions. There are many reasons for this which include the perfectly polished case and bracelet which reflect like a near still mill pond, highly polished hands and hour markers which jump out of the dial when reflecting any given light and the hyperactive luminosity which needs hardly any encouragement to shine brightly even during daylight. White Diver 15710 ?
I notice that this piece is starting to hit the AD's. I have not had the chance to see one live and am wondering if anyone seen or handled this reference ? If so, what are thoughts ? OR ?Considering going back to a diver and maybe the white face would be a nice change....although not sure how good it would look on the SS bracelet (have one in the drawer ) or survivor hornback (yup in the same drawer ).
