Longines L42094116 wrist watches news:
Hello everyone, been a quality watch fan for many years and finally took the plunge and ordered my first Rolex, a GMT 11c in s/s ,abolutely stunning ! I'll add this to our collection and really treasure it . I've been reading a lot of the posts on this site and been really impressed by the depth of knowledge and friendly banter, hope to contribute lots in the near future. pics coming.. Gav.
Hi all, I picked this baby up last Friday and am loving it.
13,000 that is, in posts - I can't believe I yap so much that I'm coming up on that many. Anyway, as the New Year rolls in I thought I'd share a few things I've learned in this hobby from a couple perspectives. As a member of this community- What a diverse group we are. It's great to be a part of it and I enjoy the sharing of cultural perspective on everything, not just watches.- Who says the internet robs people of their social skills? They're alive & well here. ...except in some of the Political threads in the Community Forum. As a watch collector- I'm always amazed at how freely information flows. You need an answer about a brand you aren't familiar with? Maybe you want some information on a vintage watch on eBay? Ask! Plenty of members will chime in with advice. It seems the pay-it-forward philosophy is working with WIS.- I like "Incoming!" threads for others as much as mine. How cool is it to see a new watch?- $20 or $20,000, all watches are better than cell phones
Ok Mates, here it is... I am looking to spend no more than 50K (+- 10K) for another PP. This will be my last one. I currently have the 5167 on rubber and it is probably the best sports watch, all purpose PP I have ever owned. After combing the previous posts I have narrowed my choices to the following pieces, but want to make sure I haven't left any potential suitors out of the lineup. I am only interested in white gold and know that everyone's extensive knowledge can only help me choose what will be my last PP. BTW, I am looking to purchase new since I want my name on the certificate. I plan on passing the watch down several years down the road which is one reason for this. 5205 - Nice, but not thrilled with the dial choices. Afraid that they will get washed out at night and I will have difficultly reading them. 5146G cream - Top contender, however I am concerned that it may be too modern of a look. Dial is not too cluttered. 5396G - Very nice. Somewhat thicker than the 514
I have come back to the well for more... could not resist! This one is a perfect blend of dress & sport and shiny & matte surfaces.
