Zenith 03.2050.4026/91.C714 wrist watches news:
This watch is really a fine luxury timepiece with a classic look from a new watch maker. The brand is Ateliers DeMonaco, and is meant to be a mix of Swiss watch making finesse with Monaco style and attitude. The watches come in various forms with the square models being my favorite. They feature three different styled faces in various colors. The faces have either Roman or Arabic numerals, or pictured with simple hour markers. These are some of the first actual images of the watch after its unveiling that I've seen and I have to say that I am impressed. Not only does the face and dial look deliciously elegant, but look at that decorated movement and rotor! Seeing such high engraved and decorated rotors is very rare. Being able to afford them is probably just as rare. You can read a bit more about it where I discussed DeMonaco watches on Luxistwatches-dealer here. The particular model show's full title is Atelier DeMonaco Carree d'Or Black Pearl Grand Tourbillon XP watch, but you can just
The Breitling script which adorned the previous models is gone, now replaced with the Logo of b wing applied gold with silver plated hands. There is no second hand. Following the old clock Breitling Bentley Continental GT: And the new Breitling in the Bentley Continental GT speed clock: I think the new is a significant improvement over last time. I have not been able to find information on the clock itself. I suppose, that it uses a kind of Breitling Quartz Movement? Not as the clocks of the instrument in aircraft.
FYI, the August 18, 2008 issue of Autoweek magazine has a short article about vintage driver's watches. A good read and some nice photos, too.
Just spoke to an ad and the new PO with titanium and liquid metal will be ?4960, I think this is way too dear nearly ?2000 more than current model. I love the PO and have two of them, but no way would I pay ?4960 that is Rolex terriorty. I know some people will pay the preminum to have the latest model, but who thinks that it is too dear for an Omega.
A friend's Speedy 3570 is 19 seconds fast, according to him. I believe, it's 3 years old, since purchased. I know a watchmaker, who can do it. My question is, when they open it, to be regulated, does it maintain its water resistance? Or, it has to be pressure tested, so that it keeps being water proofed? Thanks!Cheers.
