A journey of watches (possibly long and dull)
It's a slow sunday here in Oslo, so I thought I would share the history of my watches.I got a few watches before the one below, but it was the first one I bought my self. I was 14 yo and had worked three months to pay for it (wich is a very long time at that age). I even got a discount from the seller as I ran out of bills and started putting coins on the desk. He was embarressed to take every penny from a child I guess Its' nothing special about this Seiko today and it certainly don't belong in a forum like this, but it was kind of new and trendy with digital LCD displays back then and I was incredibly proud wearing it. Some years later I did my mandatory military service and the first time laying down on the shooting field it got all scratched up (as you can see).Later I bougt a lot of different low priced watches. 5205 dial swap, value impact?
In a recent thread, a fellow TRF member said he had a dial color swap on his 5205. I might be interested in doing the same for a 5205 that I plan to purchase. Since Patek would not change the certificate after a dial swap, do you believe this would impact the value of the watch in any way? As the dial swap would be performed by Patek itself, I believe the value of the watch should not be affected, but I wonder what your views are.

Thoughts on the Rolex Daytona White Gold....
and silver dial with the oyster flex bracelet: 116519Anyone here have the watch and love it? That oysterflex is super comfortable from the two times I've tried it on. Any thoughts on how it will hold value relative to the SS Daytonas? I know it's always more of a risk when talking about any precious metal watch vs the SS professional series line.I'm contemplating a PP Nautilus 5726 as well, or an AP Royal Oak 39mm (if I can get my hands on one). If I get the Royal Oak, I will get the IWC portugueser to go with it. I'm a lot more confident in the Royal oak or Nautilus 5726 holding their value relative to the White gold daytona.
