While out this weekend, I tried on the 26574ST. It is a lovely watch with a readable and interesting complication and the steel version is, by some standard at least, not unreasonably priced.That being the case, I¡¯m surprised that there isn¡¯t a bit more hype around them or a more regular flow of incoming posts. The white was very nice and I would be very keen to see the blue face versionNow for digression #1:While at the AP boutique a fellow came in with what looked to be a 44mm Diver on a steel strap with a white face and no chrono. I hadn¡¯t seen one before and would be interested in any thoughts on what reference this might beDigression #2:Completely unrelated to watches, but kind of fun - on the way home our ferry was dodging some of the several hundred boats participating in the annual Around the Island yacht race. My regrets at missing out on sailing in it this year were soothed by the pouring rain that had appeared throughout the day.

Hi everyoneJust a little update on my AP purchase. Finally, the watch made it home. It wasn't an easy one but David was once again able to source the impossible. He was able to source a NIB 15300 forgotten somewhere. it is an old G series, but NEW, the impossible to source these days.Lucky enough, it is with me now and WOW, this is a real gem! Beauty of it can't be seen through pictures. Only in the hands and in the flesh, it does reveal it's true value and attention to details. I can never thank enough David for pursuing the quest of finding a LNIB, but ended up finding a NIB, even better :)This isn't the best of the pictures but as I have a busy day ahead and really wanted to share my experience, here it is.Cheers everyone.

I ventured "off the reservation" ( i.e. Rolex) to get a vintage Chronograph...
I can't justify making the very substantial investment in a vintage a Rolex Chronograph so I ventured into the world of Breitling and just got this beauty back from my watchmaker after a complete overhaul and new factory Crystal installation. Jason will be happy to hear that I did just say No to polishing.This not so little (48mm) gem is a Breitling Chronomat ref. 0818 dating back to about 1969 with a very robust Venus cal. 178 under the hood. I love it and just had to share.
