Longines L36504966 wrist watches news:
How we see time influences how we communicate and perceive time. Time for some people is waiting for hands on a dial to move into position, while for others it is carefully watching seconds precisely count away on a digital display. When I was growing up the terms "analog" and "digital" only had reference to clock and watch faces. It was not until I was a bit older did I realize those words had meaning not related to telling the time.If someone were to ask you what time it was and the analog dial above represented the picture on your watch, what would say? You could say it is just after noon, or half past 12. You might say that it is 12:30, or 'about' 12:30. Or you might not say anything at all and just show them your watch face for them to read in their own way. It fascinates me how reading the time comes in so many flavors. Most of them based on how we subjectively see the time.In the first grade I was taught how to read an analog clock dial in school. I recall the lessons pretty wel
OK heres some question for you guy's concering watch making.1) Do you think highend brands would be as popular today if automatic/mechanical movements never came back.2) Do you think lower end brands would ever one day make a big leap in the luxury market?3) What are you thoughts about replicas, fakes, homage and look alike models that look like the real deal?4) Could you ever see watches becoming obsolete because of cell phones, black berries, ect ect.
Just got done watching T2....I'm pretty sure THIS Android watch is what starts Cyberdyne down to path to Skynet. Have a great day guys-Shawn
I've been tossing around the idea of a grail. To me a grail watch is a watch that needs significant investment in time and/or money to get. But just how significant? Is a watch that I love but will take me 25 years or more to save for a grail? Or is it something else - a dream watch? Is a grail something that is a little more attainable? If I started in earnest right now, what sort of a timeframe makes a grail? 1 year? 2? 5?I really don't know. To me a grail is reasonable attainable, but will take real effort and sacrifice, either saving or hunting. But at some point you must think that it is beyond a grail? If I have a $65,000 PP that I may never get to own as a grail, what do I call the $9,000 Glashutte Senator? Or the $12,000 Rolex Daytona?
Hi all,I have been researching this watch I was given recently and can not find an identical match. I was told it may be a quartz omega from the 80's or 90's (I can not find an identical face). The back of the clasp in the attached photo reads 1449/432 Stainless Steel. Any help identifying this would be great. Thank you.Regards,RossAttachment 28233Attachment 28234
