Looking for suggestions for thread colors. I have waxed linen in off white but was thinking some other non-standard colors might be fun...For the PVD case:A very distressed and soft strap:A new very soft, but thick, oil tan with a nice patina:Sent from some puny little keyboard using my big fat fingers on Tapatalk while holding a glass of good Scotch. Please forgive any typos.

Newly Arrived: Tissot Luxury Automatic (Powermatic 80) Review and Pictures
Good lord I'm weak I was looking at watches at a jewerly store which is an affiliate of my company and they had one Tissot Powermatic on display. Asked to look at it and the clerk immediately said he could give me a great deal. I mentioned I was an employee and got an employee discount on top of it. Bottom line, it wasn't much more than the Tissot Le Locle I just bought a few weeks ago. I'm just going to repost what I just wrote on my personal site a few minutes ago, but just as a note, I did get to test the power reserve and accuracy (of course, it was just sitting in the box) as I got the watch Tuesday and today was the first time I was able to wear it. The Tissot Luxury Automatic features the ETA C07.111 movement which boasts an 80 power reserve.Watch and Wound describes the “new” ETA movement: The C07 is in fact a heavily modified ETA 2824-2 movement, which we are all very familiar with. Parnis - good or bad?
So, I'm cruising eBay and I see a brand called Parnis. The sellers seem to be based in China or Hong Kong, with a few in Taiwan. A lot of these homages* seem to be made in China, with Chinese movements. I'd like to know if these are any good, longevity-wise. A lot of them are hand-wound; good on Parnis for keeping this tradition going. They seem cheap enough; some of their Rolex homages are only half the price I paid for my dear old Sandoz (USD$450.00). I'm considering some of their PVD covered items (Rolex doesn't use PVD, and Pro-Hunter isn't officially recognised by Rolex, so I'd say that's enough of a variation to put the PVD-covered homages in my 'acceptable' category). I do want to know if the brand is worth the price - many of these homages are between USD$110-$150. Is this price worth it, for what you get? How's the quality, longevity, accuracy? I'm guessing these homages have Sea-Gull movements under the hood - true or false?Thanks in advance for your help.*That's th

So I wear my alligator-strapped watch quite a bit and I have noticed lately it has a little bit of a funky smell. Other than that, the strap is in perfect condition.Is there anything I can use on the inside of the strap to get rid of that?Thanks in advance......

An associate of mine is presently going through some temporary difficulties as a result of a divorce and has asked if I would be interested in purchasing this (along with other items that I do know something of).It appears to be a 3513 (?). He stated he'd received it as a gift 15-20 years ago and wore it regularly until a few years ago. It appears to keep time, but probably needs a service.Your expert knowledge is greatly appreciated.
