Can anyone identify my Longines??
Hi all, Have been searching around sporatically trying to identify this watch, or find a similar one for quite a while now but with no luck. Was "in the mood" once again to do another quick search, and happened to land here, so I decided to look around a bit. Everyone seemed to be especially polite and all the posts I read were from those who truly wished to provide helpful information. What a breath of fresh air! So, this watch was given to me by my father about 10 or 15 yrs ago, and I believe he received it from his father as well. He has always been an avid watch collector, and asked me to choose the one I favored most, among which included many Rolex's, etc. My favorite had always been this Longines, and it is not only beautiful but the most comfortable watch I have ever worn. It is all 18K, and the total weight is 75.3g, but I haven't been able able to find another like it. 2 watches I recently "inherited"
Hi,Today my mom and dad showed up with two watches they found in my grandma's house (she just moved to a retirement home). They came to me first because they know I love watches and because I know more about watches than them (which is still almost nothing). The first one is an Omega Gen¨¦ve ladies watchand that's about as much as I can tell from just looking at it; no serial numbers whatsoever. I did wind it so it is a automatic watch (or a winding watch? I will get back on that with the second watch). If anyone can tell me anything about this watch it would be great!The second one is easier to identify. It is a Certina Automatic Blue Ribbon men's watch. There are some numbers on the back but I don't know which ones are serial numbers and whether or not it's safe to put them online (I've got no experience on this...). Went to AD for Tudor but walked out with a Colt..
Yesterday I planned to try on the Pelagos at my AD, and my eyes went towards the Breitling Colt auto.
