Artya Makes Another Airport-Unfriendly Item: Watch Buckle With Hidden Knife
For 2014, Swiss watch maker Artya, under the leadership of Yvan Arpa, presents a hidden knife as an option on most Artya (and Black Belt) timepieces. Part James Bond, part "I bet you didn't know I could put a knife here!," these "ardillon-style" watch strap buckles come with a small folding blade.Why? Well that is really the question, isn't it. Artya is a brand that likes to exaggerate life and that is part of their charm. For Yvan, this watch is about personal safety, as well as covertly opening private letters with clean precision. The knife will fold out from the buckle "pocket-knife" style and will be perhaps an inch or so in length. It isn't exactly "hidden" if you look closely at the buckle, but is rather out of the way and located in a place most people would not expect. Complete newbie - ive been offered this.
Hi folks.Ive tried to do some research but i figure the best thing is to ask people that know.I have absolutely no clue about watches but i am about to replace my old cheap thing with something nice. Anyway i mentioned this to a guy at work who told me he had an Omega Seamaster he would sell me for ¡ê100. Now i know a good Seamaster is worth more than that so im certain this isnt a genuine one, but i thought id do some digging anyway.I have attached some piccies, if you need to know anything ill let you know.I just want some opinions really.Cheers guys.Dan

I dropped off my beloved Omega SMP GMT (I love abbreviations) at my local watch guy for a spa treatment (same price as many new Hamiltons) and as I went in I saw that ,lo and behold, he has become a Hamilton AD since last I was there!!They have a great selection for a small ,family run store front.In fact they put Tourneau to shame in the Hamilton department!!The Route 66 (yuck) is expected soon as is the "Below Zero" (still undecided until I see it)Thjey did have a watch there that I am tempted by even though I know I should back off..It's amodel that I cannot find on the Hamilton (or any other sites)Automatic (2895) with a sub seconds dial at 6.Decorated movement,black dial and approx 44 mm in diameter.It is on one of the,IMHO, best looking "distressed" (almost suede) brown leather straps that I have ever seen!I want it.But I gotta pay for the Omega!!!

it would be interesting to know what watches the navy seals were wearing when they paid osama bin laden a house call. is there a standard navy seal issued watch? if so it would be interesting to know and then to watch to see if there is a spike in sales. as to host of the house call;

Just called my AD here in Hawaii and they didn't know that the ADs were getting the books. They thought it was only given out in Switzerland for the celebration. Stinks that I just bought my watch a month ago and I really want a copy of the book. Anyone know where else I can get it?
