Maurice Lacroix MP 6119 SS 001 11 E wrist watches news:
Cartier drives home its iconic design codes in the Drive de Cartier, its new shaped men¡¯s collection, introduced this week at SIHH 2016 in Geneva. The cushion-shaped case of the Drive de Cartier is the latest creation designed to reinvigorate the brand¡¯s longstanding tradition of shaped watches. The collection has all the Cartier design codes: guilloch¨¦ inner dial, railroad chapter ring, Roman numerals, highly defined proportions and an element of fine watchmaking mechanics.Aside from the elegant case shape, two outstanding features place the Drive de Cartier definitively in the category of elegant dress watches: the slim tapered profile, or galbe as the French call it, makes it look like an ultra-slim watch, even though it is a fairly standard 11.5 mm thick; and the pattern of the guilloch¨¦ center, which is uniquely repeated on the outside of the chapter ring, adds elegance. Drive is a full collection, with seven references, including two complications. The Fine Watchmaking version is
Greatings J&A watch fans!I wanted to update you with some changes in the Admin Team for the J&A forum. Knight Watchman has decided to take a bit of a break from the team. Give KW a big "Thank You" for the work he's done on our Japanese and Asian Forum!! KW will still be around, so hopefully we've not seen the last "Watch of the Knight." Joining the team to help fill the void will be Stefan "Molle." Will a relative newcomer to WTF, Molle is no stranger to online Seiko community, with an IMPRESSIVE collection, background, and passion! Please give Molle a warm WTF welcome!!
As some of you may know, Seiko had discontinued the original Seiko Spring Drive releases which consisted of 10 core models and 4 limited edition pieces. As you may notice in Ananta and Grand Seiko, there are more than just Spring Drive movements within the brands (quartz and autos). When they introduced Spring Drive, it was basically referring to a brand and not just the movement. They are now phasing out the original releases because of this and we pretty much bought everything Seiko had. These models are going to be gone very soon and going to be highly collectible. I can tell you that this is going to be the GREATEST opportunity to own a Seiko Spring Drive. You will NEVER see another Spring Drive near these prices. Here's whats still around. Do any of you wear your watch to bed? Not sure where I picked it up from, other than to easily see what time it is in the middle of the night, but I've always worn my watch to bed. This "habit" is pretty much the reason luminosity is important to me. I don't like LED bedside clocks! A wind up Big Ben or the like is OK. Still I prefer to get my nighttime time from a simple glance of my wrist. Pretty much I only remove my watch when I shower. Heck, maybe it should get a daily shower also. Any benefits to not wearing an automatic to bed? I wore my Rolex to bed for years and it still works and keeps good time.
