Maurice Lacroix PT6158-SS001-43E wrist watches news:
Scott & I meet up frequently for coffee. This morning we had a great time, as always. Sorry for the blurry shot from my Blackberry. Next time, we'll have to do a complete collection photo. 1680 -> 14060M -> PAM027 -> 1967 Speedmaster
Sometimes referred to as driver's watches. This one appears in the 1951 catalogue, but the movement serial number dates it to 1952The case is 14K gold filled and the markers are 18K gold "applied". It uses the 670 movement, adjusted to 4 positions.
All,I am performing research on the Hamilton Illinois wristwatches from the mid-1950s and seek any advertisements, catalogues or related information concerning them. Also, if you know anyone that collects them please let me know. (I do know about our friendly moderator). Please contact me at fred@illinoiswatches concerning the above requests. Thanks in advance for your help.FJF
When sizing a bracelet, do you follow the direction of the arrows for both removal and reinsertion of the pin, or do you insert the pin in the opposite direction from which you remove it?Thanks!
my final incoming..... initial impressions:i love the slate gray dial. it is stunningly beautiful. i love that is has nice lume. the watch feels very substantial. not like my sub, but very substantial never the less.the bracelet is a work of art. love that it has a fold over clasp.the watch appears to be a super blend of class, sport and style. i really think this is a do everything watch. i won't be rock climbing with it, nor going to the gym, but i will be at the beach this weekend, and it will be with me. i have not sized it yet, but it feels amazing......it appears to be the perfect size for my wrist. not too big, not too small, but just perfect. will get it sized tonight. more impressions will follow. thanks all for helping me with this process. i absolutely feel like i can wear this everyday. i probably won't, but i like the fact that i can.
