Montblanc 113850 wrist watches news:
Hi Guys,Thanks for the very positive comments on my new WG DDII - my grail!I have been wearing it steadily since Friday when I picked it up from the AD. I must say that it is amazingly accurate right out of the box, so far, not having gained or lost even a second! That's very impressive. I think the watch is very beautiful and classic, yet contemporary in its 41 mm size. Some, mostly on other forums but here too, don't seem to like it and criticize its design. Actually, I think it is extremely well designed and very beautiful. Yes, the bezel is larger; yes, the crown is small, etc. But overall, to me it is well balanced and an outstanding design; I think it represents an evolution (not revolution) of the classic and very beautiful 36 mm DD, which to my eyes, seems a little small by today's standards on most men. Please, please do not take that as a criticism - the 36 mm DD is a gorgeous watch in its own right. For those of you fortunate to own a DD in any size, I admire your taste!Som
The lume is not very strong or lasting, but that's not the main strength of the ROC anyway. The key thing is... The ROC looks great when the lume is illuminating :)
Hello all -Today I had another great transaction with DavidSW. I got an “excellent” condition Omega Seamaster 300m blue diver ceramic from him. To be honest, there were a couple, at most, hair line scratches and is still under warranty for about 2.5 years out of the 3. Perfect, perfect condition. Probably should have been considered mint, by some standards, but very happy to have in my collection now. It fits a little larger than I’m used to, but I think it’ll be okay. Love to know what your thoughts are on fit. Can’t wait to wear this as a daily wearer. I’ve been wanting a ceramic and blue dial omega or rolex, but at least with Omega I didn’t have to fork over 28-32k. (41mm reference)IMG_1925.JPGSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just wanted to share a pic of my gorgeous Gondolo 5111JHave a good weekend everyone
Zero bezel/dial/24hr hand/dial script consistency. SS models have three bezels, three different hand colors and two versions of dial script. PM sometimes use black dials, sometimes colored, and are completely inconsistent with SS versions (WG Pepsi now blue dial, WG hands); green dial still a bit out in left field, etc. Used to be you could have SS with black dial; TT/PM with black or brown, 24hr hand in red or YG (consistent with case/bracelet) and a couple of bezel choices for the black faces. Now, there are five versions (SS, TT, WG, RG, YG) and seemingly none of that consistency. A little jarring when looking at the whole line at once, particularly given its gentleman's tool watch history.
