Movado 0606875 wrist watches news:
This was a big year for men’s watches at Cartier. You may have read about the new Cartier Drive and the other pre-SIHH releases that we covered in December of last year, but one that you may not have heard about yet is this Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Astromystérieux. 1 OF 3 This watch is a fantastic example of the technical skills that Cartier possesses and doesn't show off enough. Cartier is known for their vintage (and modern) mystery clocks – Louis Cartier and Maurice Couet mastered the mystery clock mechanism in 1912, taking inspiration from the famous illusionist Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin. This year, Cartier decided to modify and apply this technology to the Rotonde de Cartier in their brand new Astromystérieux. 2 OF 3 This watch is different from any watch I have seen in recent years. It is not just a mystery watch, but rather a mystery movement. Instead of just the hands being attached to the two moving crystals, t
Well, I finally got around to upgrading the clasp on my Yacht-Master. Many thanks to Jocke for the idea and inspiration, as well as help from my good buddy Scott D!
Hi EveryoneI have an amazing VERY thin Audemars Piguet Mechanical Skeleton.I even have the original box it came it.I wear it a couple times a year and its just a beautiful watch.I know NOTHING about this watch other than my father remembers buying it in Paris in the late 50's or perhaps early 60's (yes he knowsits real haha) he just isn't a watch guy.Anyway, he gave it to me a few years ago and I really like it.I do not want to sell it or anything but I just want to know if anyonehave any info on it or knows where I can find some info. The main # I can find is on the back bottom of the case and it is36204 The Watch is a white metal, knowing my father Id assume itsSS BUT I do not really think they would make a watch like this in SS.Every Jeweler whose seen it just says WOW but doesn't really knowanything....Sorry, no pics but I will post some when I am able.
I decided to give my Speedy 145.022 Cal.861 some wrist time, I almost forgot how cool this watch is. It`s serial # is in the low 40mil. puts the age around 1977.It`s got some good patina on the dial hour markers.image upload no compression
My vision of watches has changed significantly during the last 2-3 weeks. Times are changing, market has changed and my taste has follow that change.Sport watches is what is hot now, I still appreciate the formal pieces with all its romanticism because at the end that¡¯s the essence of Patek. I think I will come back to those formal pieces again (AC, PC, Manual Chrono) is just not the time for me. I just don¡¯t have the means to collect watches that are expensive and market is not that great. In the meantime I found this killer piece, I always want it a Nauti with presence on SS , my first Patek was 5712/1a loved it but unfortunately my wrist didn¡¯t agree with it. 5990 has everything I want: sport , complicated, presence , a pleasure to wear, understated and with a market.Anyway here it is :Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
