Revelation R03 Chronographe RS Watch
For their second watch, Revelation will release a very cool and much more sober piece compared to their first piece called the R01 Tourbillon Manege (that I covered here). This new for 2012 watch is called the Revelation R03 Chronographe RS. Not sure where the R02 watch went - I must have missed that one. The special feature of this watch is a face that goes from totally opaque black to completely transparent.The system is much more simple on the R03 than on the R01 (which applied the same special set of crystals). The latter piece has a crazy motor system while the R03 has a face that is manually adjusted by turning the bezel. Let me try to explain a bit more in case the concept is a bit vague. Think of the system of two crystals as creating a series of shutters - nano shutters. When they are lined up one way the watch face looks totally black. I found a sweet looking black faced Submariner two tone 16613 today. It is an older model without the gold in the clasp and with the holes drilled all the way through the case. It is in excellent condition, and doesn't really even have any noticeable scratches on the clasp. It does have one little scratch on the gold portion of one of the links. Other than that it looks beyond excellent, probably 95% to 98% condition. Furthermore the watch will be completely serviced by the dealer who is a rolex trained and certified watchmaker for decades, just like his father before him. He said he would buff out the scratch and was also going to replace the crown and stem during the service. It does not include any box or paperwork unfortunately. The price is $5,000, including the servicing. This seems like a pretty good deal to me, what is the opinion of the forum? Thanks in advance for your help.

I love this watch and consider it a grail watch......I want to know how this watch works. When you activate the chrono and after the one minute mark, what does the blue and red hand represent?Does a certain hand tick over for the one minute mark or does it gradually move as the seconds hand move?When you reset the chrono does the second hand jump back to it's position? -or- It sweeps all the way back?I'm very fascinated with this piece, in my opinion, I think this was a ground breaking piece during it's introduction..

Budget Oyster bracelet for my 16700
Hi all, I am looking to get an oyster bracelet for my GMT 16700, which is currently on a Jubilee. The only issue is I am on a budget and all the bracelets I am finding are $800+. My question is if I get a cheaper 7835 bracelet, can I fit 20mm end pieces on it and fit it onto my GMT 16700 without it looking awful?Thanks, all in advance.
