Movado 07301074 wrist watches news:
Genesis is not just a neat-sounding word that someone thought would make for a good watch brand name. It is rather the name of the brand's founder and designer - Christine Genesis. How convenient is that? To have a cool last name like that? Christine is a rare breed being a full-on watch maker and a female. I wouldn't make a big deal of that fact if it was more common. I, for one, applaud the idea of having more female headliners in the watch industry. Christine's brand begins with some attractive watches that combine a little of classic traditionalism, Bauhaus, and modern minimalism. I don't like all the pieces, but I think overall this a nice brand worth paying attention to.About 3-4 years old now, Genesis has roughly eight models in the collection - each coming in a few styles. I've posted images of my favorite pieces. Genesis uses Swiss mechanical movements which look to be a mix of ETA and Soprod calibres. Most are automatics but there are a few manually wound varieties. Hello All!I'm about to embark on my fifth Rolex purchase and I would like your feedback!choices: Rolex milgauss GV or white dial, Green bezel Submariner(LV) and/or DJ with white gold bezel and silver and black dial.Ed
I had a recent situation with one of my Sparta Rotowinders in that the bearing in the cup stuck onto the motor shaft and pulled from the cup. Still worked, just was wobbly. I shimmed out the bearing with a small plastic sheet and re-inserted the bearing in the cup and it worked well. I decided to e-mail Cheryl Clark at Orbita and see what the manufacturer does if this has happened and described my fix to her.To my utter amazement she e-mailed back the following:"The cup replacement is the best answer, since we do not expect ourcustomers to settle for quick fixes on our ORBITA Watchwinders that westand behind fully!"With that, she stated she was sending out a replacement cup ASAP to me and I got it Saturday. As I've said before their Customer Service is beyond the norm! They TRULY care for and take care of their customers. Thanks again, Tom
I have a Seiko SKX173 that I love the look and size of. It seems to be a perfect fit for my wrist and my lifestyle. The only issue that I have come across is that I am not sure that I am supposed to tell time with it. The thing gains a minute a day. In a week, I am early to everything. I am about to throw it out the window. Any ideas on what I can do before I go postal on it?B
